Okay I was trying not be dramatic but these mfs don’t make it easy.

First of all, when Max said on Saturday that his battle is with Charles and we thought he was being delusional? Jokes on us, because that just emphasizes once again, how well Max knows Charles, he knows how aggressive Charles can be, how stubborn, how insane.

And that’s it, that’s the thing, Charles is aggressive, he is stubborn, he doesn’t let people pass him without a fight. Until he does, until that Ferrari drains him to a point he doesn’t have any fight left in him, because no matter how hard he fights, it’s never enough.

But that’s still the Charles Max knows, and he also knows whenever it’s them against each other, that Charles is back. The stubborn kid who pushed him of the track, the beautiful unhinged menace who always gives Max the rush he craves, the only prey Max actually wants to hunt.

And of course, when Charles with his red bouncy car that spins in the rain, sees the familiar navy blue in his mirror, it’s a whole different story, because that car, that driver he knows how to dance with, he knows the limits, he knows Max’s moves, and he pushes, he pushes harder than when he races with anyone else, he pushes that car beyond its limits, because it’s Max, because it’s them, and they trust each other, they count on each other, because they want to beat each other so bad it’s not racing anymore, it’s air, it’s life, it’s life itself.
