We’ve added Switchboard's permissionless and customizable oracle network to help our rollup users create Functions for data feeds, randomness, automations, & more.
Oracles play a critical role in allowing smart contracts to access off-chain data and computations. Switchboard's new paradigm of oracles provides secure and verifiable off-chain computations to smart contracts, allowing it to access real-world data with greater flexibility and propagate any data on-chain in one single function.
We have integrated Switchboard Functions which opens up Custom Data Feed, VRF, and access to Private API data as options for rollup users. Those using our no-code launchpad to deploy a rollup in minutes can easily include this oracle network into their dApps.
This add-on will be a great boon to users. It simplifies developer work, reduces time-to-launch; and ensures publication & processing of authentic data feeds.

Trustless on-chain computation has enabled new kinds of virtual Worlds, in particular Autonomous Worlds. We are thrilled to announce that we are now supporting Connext's sovereign bridged tokens - xERC20 - within our rollup ecosystem to promote greater on-chain security & enhance sovereignty of token issuers.
Connext’s work on xERC20 as an open token standard is crucial for interoperability & bridging. It gives control back to the base asset issuer whereby bridges no longer need to issue their own bridged token by locking user’s base tokens, reducing the risk of asset losses in the event of a bridge hack and thereby ensuring that all bridged assets remain a single canonical version of the base asset.
Now, AltLayer has now integrated xERC20 into our rollup infrastructure.
