MACH will be the first AVS under the restaked rollup framework to serve two of the largest rollups, viz. OP Mainnet and Arbitrum One.

By delegating ETH/LSTs with ALT tokens, the economic collateral deposited will be used to secure the validation of a rollup’s state & offer fast finality! Testing MACH is a vital step towards the mainnet launch & we hope you can all be part of it!

These are one of the very first AVSes on EigenLayer to go mainnet following the launch of EigenDA.

For those new to MACH, it is a fast finality layer set up for a given rollup and operates as an AVS, where users can restake ETH or LSTs, with any of the registered operators. The economic collateral delegated to secure MACH is then used to attest to the validity of a given rollup’s state.

Unlike Ethereum, that takes about 12 mins to finalize transactions, or the rollup sequencer that gives pre-confirmations but lacks economic backing, MACH which is built as an overlay network on top of Ethereum can give fast pre-confirmations with economic backing via restaking.

📣 A few hours ago, we reset ALT main staking pool's unstaking cooldown period to 0. This will have two key benefits:

🥩 Remove the barrier for unstaking and encourage more stakers to engage.
🔄 Allow users to swap from the main staking pool to any other MACH AVS ALT pools (e.g., Xterio MACH).

Our vision: With the launch of our MACH AVS on EigenLayer mainnet, we are now ready to start the transition of ALT staking to restaking. This transition will take a multi-phase approach.

In the first and immediate phase, we will be resetting the ALT main staking pool's unstaking cooldown period to 0. This means stakers can choose to swap from the main pool to any other MACH AVS ALT pools, e.g., Xterio ALT launchpool without waiting for the 21-day cooldown period to pass.

In the next phases, we plan to change the reward mechanism to allow stakers to earn both ALT and the launchpool rewards at the same time. The portal will also adapt to EigenLayer's upcoming reward mechanism. Stay tuned for more info on this!

Please note that all MACH AVS pools will still have a 21-day cooldown period. The 0 cooldown period only applies to the ALT main staking pool. Hence, a restaker of ALT will still need to decide which MACH AVS pool he/she wishes to pledge his/her assets to.

UPDATE: Change in ALT Token Vesting Schedule

In a strategic move to ensure the long-term stability of our token and ecosystem growth, we have updated the ALT token vesting schedule. Our key stakeholders are aligned with this change, and have agreed to accept a 6-month pause in the vesting schedule following the first unlock on July 25, 2024. Following this, there will be no new token unlocks for investors, team, or advisors, treasury & others, for six months.
