The AltLayer OG Badge NFTs got all minted in about 16 seconds. ⚡️

✨ The NFTs have now been settled on the Ethereum mainnet and the collection is also available on OpenSea.

Last week, AltLayer hosted its first mint event of OG Badge NFTs on a mint-dedicated flash layer. This marked the beginning of an era of application-dedicated disposable execution layers. ✨

A total of 20k users had registered for the event, out of which about 13k addresses were whitelisted. The demand was so high that the event lasted only for about 18 seconds. Unlike other FCFS events, the minters witnessed a flawless user experience devoid of any gas war.

We recorded a TPS of 50 at the peak of the event. To put the number in perspective, the average TPS on the day Optimism received the most traffic was 5.6 TPS, while, the corresponding TPS recorded for Arbitrum was 3.3 TPS. We performed better than the best in the market. Hooray! 🥳

As announced on August 23, our next showcase consists in hosting a game called Dark Forest on a game-dedicated execution layer. The goal with this event is to showcase AltLayer’s capabilities in hosting a large-scale blockchain game that runs all its core game logic on-chain.

The main event aka the community round will run from Sep 9-11 and the top-20 players in the leaderboard at the end of the gameplay will be awarded with OG Badge NFTs that come with several useful perks.

In order to prepare the community for the main event, we are organising a warm-up session from August 26, 2022 (12:00 GMT) - September 5, 2022 (12:00 GMT).
