​​Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine has been linked to rare cases of eye inflammation.

The vaccine may be associated with a form of eye inflammation called uveitis, according to a multicenter study in Israel led by Professor Zohar Habot-Wilner from the Suraski Tel Aviv Medical Center.

The study was conducted in five medical centers and was accepted for publication by the peer-reviewed ophthalmological journal Retina.

Habot-Wilner, the head of the service specializing in uveitis, found that each of the 21 people who received two shots of the Pfizer vaccine, 
uveitis developed within one to 14 days after the first vaccination
or within one day to one month after vaccination with the second dose.

21 people developed anterior uveitis, and two people developed multiple dull white dots syndrome (MEWDS).
