You did ‘what’ to your friends? And you still think it's funny? No wonder you became a hun.

Any information about this company? I’m afraid my friend is being sucked into this.
Hello, I want to keep it real shorts but I didn’t know where to ask this…
My very close friend, I would say that she is my soulmate had been in touch with this brand that seems like an MLM. At first she didn’t say anything about this (we are living far away from each other) she just would say that she needs to join a meeting or she’s stepping into a new thing in her life etc.
The brand is called “TIENS” I couldn’t find any posts or information about this on Reddit which seems weird. It wasn’t listed in MLMs too but it has the exact same pyramid system.
Anyways, she got me joined one of the meetings irl. A small group of people. I was introduced to pads first. My mom already used these pads for her ovary cyst and infection. They’re honestly made very well. I thought it was a women’s health company at first and was excited but things got weird real quick when we got to supplements and bracelets.
You can heal every single illness in this world with supplements and a magnet bracelet apparently. We got balance test. Like we were trying to be proven that the magnets in the bracelet helped you keep on balance or something? I dunno. The meeting ended with the workers telling me how much money I could make. The vacations their company sends them to or how easy it is to make money, all you need is to have a phone/laptop etc. I was uninterested because I knew those type of things took so much time. But it did not accour to me until I got home that it was a kind of MLM.
it’s weird because my friend is such a logical person and she said she made research over a year and she was sure the brand was trustworthy. I’m still shady about this and kinda upset that this takes so much time of her life now. She’s very hopeful that she’ll be able to help people.
Anyone can inform or help?
Edit: the supplements costs like 50-100$ in dollars. Same for bracelets. The pricing on the website, even if signing up under a person is very high.

How is this even supposed to work or is my friend extra bad at MLMs?
A friend got in deep with a (new to her) MLM at the beginning of last year. She's done others in the past, makeup and candles and things. With the help of this sub plus Google I finally figured out that her new one is Enagic. I had to resort to this because even though she constantly posts about it, it's all 100% vague references to her new business that "isn't an MLM", is an investment she can hand down to her kids, spending money to make money, she can do from anywhere, etc etc etc.
Not once has she ever actually tried to sell anything to anyone (at least publicly, but she's never DMed me about it either even though we message semi regularly). She has also never stated the name of the company or even said what she's selling. The only thing she ever does is ask if people are interested in her new money making scheme and tell them to message her if they are.
I don't get how she thinks this is ever going to result in income, or how she can believe it's not an MLM when the only thing she's doing is trying to recruit people into her downline or whatever they call it. I'm genuinely puzzled. Is this normal for Enagic? In the past she was constantly trying to get people to buy the actual products, so at least I could understand how she would get drawn into it, but this is bizarre...
It's also often horribly dystopian; she regularly uses personal tragedies to try and rope people in, like when her husband was in an accident and she started posting about how great it was that she could do her business while waiting at the hospital. I just do not get this at all.

Suspect MLM
So we have a family friend who is actually a solicitor however they are clueless about MLM. Her son has kinda drifted since leaving school. He was selling door to door for a bit.
When I saw her last week she said he is now "running his own online business " and he sells advertising on websites. She was very vague about what he does but to me this screams enagic. The language, the targeting a bloke who is a bit lost and not worldly.

I've noticed many of the huns who used to push powdered crap to drink are feeling the pressures of GLP-1 medications and leaning into them. They're fighting a losing battle. If their whole identity and business was weight loss, they're running scared, for sure.

Thrive by Level
I'm currently having a disagreement with someone who is saying you can't buy your rank with Level as a promoter, it has to be outside sales. We are actually discussing the Watts case. It was obvious Shan'ann Watts was putting her own money into this MLM and as a result the families finances were in a terrible state but this person will not have it that it's even an option. Am I completely wrong? Not victim blaming Shan'ann by the way, sadly she bought into the MLM bs and just couldn't see her way out of it.
