На днях Raytheon объявил о начале работ над ракетами Peregrine. Перспективная ракета будет весить около 65 кг и иметь длину менее 2 метров. Peregrine обещают сделать более быстрым и манёвренным, чем существующие сегодня ракеты. Компактные размеры позволят размещать на подвеске вдвое больше боеприпасов. Апач подозревает, что в ракете будет использоваться концепция hit-to-kill (прямое поражение).
U.S. Air Force Maj. Brett “Duke” Faber completed his final flight in the F-15C Eagle with the 144th Fighter Wing Sept. 11, 2019. His brother, Capt. Matthew Faber, who is also a fighter pilot with the unit, flew with him during his final training mission.
Maj. Faber is beginning a position as an Introductory to Fighter Fundamentals instructor at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas. As is customary, he was welcomed back by two fire-engine water arcs as he taxied to the aircraft’s parking spot. He was then welcomed by numerous friends and family members.
