We bought a 500mm compost thermometer, compared side x side our 3D printed digital version.

The new one gives a faster reading, just seconds versus several minutes for the digital one. Both are accurate.

The analog thermometer is better for day to day monitoring. The digital version is a good start if you want to automate processes based on certain temperature ranges or to automatically log temperatures over time.

We continue building up infrastructure for our urban farm. Here is a shed/bird net frame for our container garden.

We used Sketchup to design this project making cutting and assembly much easier.

Our solar panels are recharging in the sun, so is this tiny lizard. Technology imitating nature.

Nesting boxes are small private spaces chickens use to lay their eggs. If the right environment isn't created, it may impact their laying efficiency.

Long time, no update. But we finally got a basic container garden set up and seeds planted. Lots of sun, watering everyday, let's see what grows.

Even the smallest % of self-sufficiency is a good first step, a journey is but simple steps in a single direction.

🛠DIY🛠

We used leftover wood from our chicken coop and shed project to make this flat pack end table.

I used SketchUp to design the project in 3D to make sure the design was feasible vs the wood on hand.

It now sits next to my armchair used to make videos (and read).

🌾Early morning agricultural drone hard at work🌱

Drones help cut time and because their flight paths are automated, reduce labor.

I've seen farmers with powered sprayers for seeds and chemicals, but they need to physical walk back & forth in their fields. This drone does the same job in a fraction of the time.

🇹🇭 NEW VIDEO: Asia for Real - Agricultural Drone in Thailand's Petchaburi Province

I visited Phetchaburi Province, Thailand to meet with Khun Jack who operates a Thai-built agricultural drone for spraying fields.

This technology makes the job faster and cheaper and is just one of many examples of how high-tech solutions are finding their way onto the farm in Thailand.

The drone is built by NAC Drone - a Thai company providing farmers with not only the drone itself but also training on how to operate them.

I'll be putting together a much longer video with more details about agricultural drones in Thailand. We have a lot more footage and info we gathered and will post on ATL.

MG electric vehicle charger spotted in gas station near Bangkok.

There is a growing number of chargers around Thailand as electric vehicles grow in number on the road.

Chinese EV company BYD will soon begin building a factory in Thailand as well.
