✨ APY.Finance Weekly Update (12/18 - 12/24) ✨
🚀 Alpha Launch Status
🔸 We aim to have a demo of the system working end to end, farming with a strategy portfolio, as early as next week. We are working hard to push out the alpha build as soon as possible after this.
🔸 Our priority is security and only once we are confident in the testing and auditing will we start farming with the full TVL.
——————
📤 Smart Contract Development
☑️ We upgraded from builder to hardhat. This is the latest version of a development framework for smart contracts.
☑️ Etherscan verification is fully functional and working for our proxy contracts using the latest version of hardhat.
☑️ We've developed noscripts to assemble calldata sequences for strategy simulation and deployment to generic executor contracts. Sequences are simulated first, to verify successful execution, before being pushed on-chain. We will also be implementing more checks for verification of simulations to account for function calls that return error codes instead of reverting.
——————
🌐 Front-End
🔹 We've continued to upgrade our landing page and dashboards. Head on over to the following article for screenshot previews: https://medium.com/apyfinance/apy-finance-weekly-update-12-18-12-24-98e2d16061f
🔹 We’re working on testing new contract hooks for claims, staking, deposits and withdrawals. The new hooks were made to clean up the codebase and improve loading times.
——————
📢 Community Support
👉 We're currently upgrading our CRM processes for a more streamlined approach to community management and to add the ability to submit tickets for specific technical inquiries. In the meanwhile, feel free to reach out with any support inquiries via Direct Message.
👾 Happy Holidays from the APY team! 👾

✨ APY.Finance Weekly Update (12/25 - 12/31) ✨
🚀 Alpha Demo
🔸 We're continuing to work on an early Alpha build to be able to share a demo video, running on a forked mainnet, showing functionality such as funds being deposited and capital being deployed to contracts and strategies. We are crunching to have this complete and ready to share as soon as possible. We'll be sure to notify the community as soon as this demo is available.
——————
📤 Smart Contract Development
☑️ We are finalizing the structure of APY managers with liquidity pools and strategy proxies. The system will allow for managers running in parallel so portions of capital can be used with alpha strategies that are still being proven.
☑️ Our developers are using various Curve sequence strategies to deploy capital, which are currently working, and we're finalizing the bridge between the APY manager and the strategies executed by the general executor contract.
☑️ Our developers have begun the evaluation of minimal proxy factories that will allow a single executor contract to segment the control of assets for each strategy. This will allow us to scale up the strategies in a more gas-efficient way, saving on fees.
☑️ We are currently finishing some calculation tests for mAPT testing. We are currently testing full integration with the pools, which will first require updated functionality with redeem and withdraw functions.
☑️ We've implemented a node noscript for updating rewards services. This includes resetting and refunding the staking contracts as well as topping up the liquidity mining claims contract.
☑️ We’ve developed token registration functionality for the StrategyFactory so the Chainlink registry will track any new assets that are required for computing TVL values with Chainlink.
——————
🌐 Front-End
🔹 As our strategy page continues to develop, our front-end engineers are iterating on strategy charts, rebalancing, risk:reward stats for each strategy and more.
🔹 We are adding a function to the strategy page that will display the protocol token or asset currently being farmed.
🔹 We are allowing some toggling features to the chart (time periods) and the earnings breakdown container (switching between % and $).
🔹 We’re wiring the front-end for various APIs and smart contracts to pull and display ROI data for various strategies.

🚀 Alpha Demo Video & Community Feedback
🔶 In case you missed it, we released an overview of a functioning Alpha build, running on a forked mainnet, earlier this week. We have been reading your feedback, and are truly overwhelmed with the support thus far. Check it out if you haven’t already:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Iud7z_lvG0
🔶 It is a priority for our team at APY.Finance to listen to feedback and constructive criticism from our amazing community, and implement it wherever possible. We understand that this video may have been a bit technical, as we were simply very excited to share the progress we’ve made on the Alpha build thus far. Going forward, we are going to make an effort to simplify the content a bit more, so even those who aren’t coders will easily be able to understand.
🔶 A bit further down the pipeline, this will also include creating a baseline of structured content, tutorials, etc. of varied aspects of DeFi and yield farming to help make learning the concepts, as well as the software, as simple for individual traders as possible.
_______________
🔮 What’s Next?
While we’ve continued to make significant progress on an Alpha build iteration that is approaching launch, we still have a bit of work to do before we can comfortably release the final build on mainnet.
💠 Some of the next steps to improve the Alpha we’re evaluating are:
- Improving the dashboard TVL chart
- Iterating on Chainlink implementation
- Front-running mitigation.
- Security audits
👾 We hope you enjoyed this glimpse into the Alpha. As always, we appreciate your continued support 👾

🗳 Smart Contract Development
✅ We’re updating various rebalancing noscripts that were used to deploy capital for our Alpha Demo to prepare for the full Alpha release.
✅ We’re in the early stages of planning a bot that can quickly and autonomously assemble strategies rather than building an entirely new noscript from scratch each time.
✅ We’re also planning a versatile tool set for generating sequences with human readable JSON that spits out strategy sequences as appropriate. We’re currently defining this, and are considering building a front-end UI for this system that will allow us to easily make changes to the sequences as necessary.
_____
🌐 Front-End
🔹 Our front-end team is currently evaluating the claims UI in preparation for an overhaul before the Alpha launch.
🔹 We’re streamlining the rewards page through a complete restructuring that will facilitate a much easier to use interface.
🔹 As we continue to iterate on the strategy breakdown page, we’ll be adding more sections for various features, such as a breakdown of sources of yield for each strategy.
🔹 We’re implementing a Subgraph to pull historical values of yields for various strategies.
🔹 Our front-end engineers have implemented modals to flesh out Metamask integration and connectivity, that guides new users to connect to the proper network channels, without much hassle.
🔹 We’re looking into building a complete tutorial that will walk you through, step-by-step, each component of the Alpha software. While getting the Alpha build up-and-running on a live build is our current priority, we also want to make sure our software is as accessible for newcomers as possible.

🗳 Smart-Contract Development
✅ Engineers continued to build upon our APY DeFi Legos toolset for sequence generation. These solutions allow human readable configuration to generate sequences for any DeFi protocol and deploy it to the strategy portfolio. Eventually, this will become a feature dictated by the governance of token holders.
✅ This week was instrumental for the development of the apy-sequencer which parses json and generates data that can be passed to the generic executor as an array.
✅ We started testing the on-chain withdrawal system for instant withdrawals. We're currently using reserve pools for withdrawals and automatically top-up the reserve every system rebalance. Our engineers are currently evaluating methods to easily add updates to LP contracts, as well as implement testing and control systems.
✅ We're currently using reserve pools to withdraw from, paired with rebalances which will automatically top up the pool. Our engineers are currently evaluating methods to easily add updates to LP contracts, as well as implement testing and control systems for this process.
✅ We're adapting USDC’s storage slot testing noscripts to ensure that our contract upgrades are safe and error free.
___
🌐 Front-End
🔹 In our effort to provide the most user friendly staking experience for traders, the engineers continue to work on the deposit and withdraw forms by extending useTokenContract hooks. With these changes in place, balances and allowances of any token set are more easily updated.
🔹 To simplify continuous development and increase test coverage, we implemented end-to-end tests for Metamask connections using Dapateer.
🔹 To increase responsiveness, front-end engineers are optimizing landing pages, resulting in an improved experience across mobile, tablets, and desktops.

🗳 Smart Contracts
✅ Our engineers have completed the liquidity pool "top-up" function, and completed testing of the reserve pools used for instant withdrawals, while still allowing batched transactions. This is to help keep our withdrawals easy, quick, and low gas cost.
✅ We've begun setting up automatons to test our custom Chainlink external adapter. The adapter, created by Chainlink specifically for our usage, allows us to pull system TVLs in a scalable and secure way. Our test automations will give us confidence in the reliability of this mission critical component.
✅ It is critical to decentralize the governance of capital deployment to achieve our goal of democratized yield. Our first steps in this direction has been the development of our DeFi Legos toolset.
✅ We've recently extended this DeFi Legos toolset with features that enable a non-coder to create human readable config files that are translated into code and executed on-chain to deploy capital from the APY liquidity pool. This will initially be used centrally by the team to manage the APY strategies, but will also form the backbone on which we will decentralize governance.
___
🌐 Front-End
🔹 Our engineers completed development of liquidity mining components for the updated rewards page and started working on the updates for staking. Development resulted in updated styles and simpler, more testable components.
🔹 While the team is focused on making the rewards page much more intuitive, they are also responding to community requests for features, such as a feature that makes it possible to clearly view all of your APY rewards at a glance.
🔹 Additional refactoring was completed on front-end transaction flows that include the TrxModal and related hooks and contexts, with the objective to significantly improve front-end performance.
🔹 We made a custom patch for Dapateer, which allows us to run additional integration tests and test the front-end across devices.
🔹 We've continued to refresh dynamic visual styling, and how it affects each hardware device. This includes sliders, buttons, forms, and more front-end visual elements that will improve the UI across various devices. We noticed many from our community access our dashboard on mobile, so we’ve been taking special care to ensure our new UI will be easy and intuitive for those users.

🗳 Smart Contracts
✅ We’ve refactored the apy-core repo to reduce redundancies between V1 and V2 code. This reduces the attack surface of the contracts and reduces the technical debt from upgrading.
✅ Over this next week, we’ll convert various apy-core noscripts into sequences using the DeFi Legos toolset, starting with integration tests.
✅Our engineers are working on an mAPT deploy noscript and integrating it with Chainlink aggregator. We have implemented a getTVL function that we can now test with our own deployed FluxAggregator. This is the final piece of our Chainlink integration that secures us against flash loan attacks.
✅ The team is evaluating various capital allocation strategies.

🔹 The team has been focused on developing functional components that support the added functionality in the upcoming Alpha release.
🔹 We’ve made developments on rewards, staking and liquidity mining, resulting in components that are easier to build upon and debug, and drive a simpler user experience.
🔹 Our team is writing media queries for the display of metrics on strategy and rewards pages so mobile users are able to easily view the state of their portfolio.
🔹 We are implementing a full “tour-guide” mentioned in an earlier update, which will give users a complete step-by-step walkthrough of the software. This will help make the software extremely simple and easy to use, even those brand new to yield farming.

👾 APY.Finance Weekly Update 2/12 - 2/18 👾
This week’s primary focus is continued development of the Alpha release in adherence to our internal product roadmap with a heavy emphasis on security
Smart Contracts
Finalizing key smart contract implementations including the APY manager, Chainlink adapter, and the APY DeFi legos toolset.
To mitigate increased gas costs, we will include further investor and advisor distributions using the claims contract.
For this month only, there will be a 0.6% supply vest to some of our early advisors that helped make this project possible.
Security Audits
We are currently preparing for security audits by finalizing mission-critical smart contract components, so our codebase can be frozen and handed off to security auditors.
Front-Running Mitigation
As we work on Chainlink integration, we’ve been focused on verifying its security by placing a variety of controls in place to prevent users from abusing potential front-running opportunities.
Staking & Rewards
Our front-end has completed a new transaction flow logic on staking for the rewards page. This will result in a simpler and more intuitive user experience.
Withdrawals
We’ve fully implemented our new withdrawal process mentioned in an earlier update and integrated it with our front-end, including a feature that will allow users to instantly redeem and withdraw their earnings.

APY.Finance Weekly Update (2/19–2/25)
With the final days of February approaching, our team is getting into the most technical, development heavy portion of our sprint…
👾 Weekly Update 2/26 - 3/4 👾
🚀 Alpha Release Update
This week, the APY engineering team put the finishing touches on APY smart contracts and ancillary functions ahead of the scheduled audit.
📈 Progress on remaining tasks:
[80% Complete] Chainlink integration
[80% Complete] APY manager development
[60% Complete] DeFi legos development
[70% Complete] APY dashboard analytics
[_] User experience testing
[_] Complete security audit
[_] Mainnet launch
🌐 Front-End
The APY product team has gathered feedback from the community about our brand and design. Our frontend engineers have since updated our UI to provide a cleaner look while still being true to our ‘cyberpunk’ roots. View a preview of the refreshed front-end dashboard in the full weekly update.
🗳 Smart Contracts
This week, our engineers continued to tie off efforts to ensure a secure Alpha product. We’ve implemented a system to support manipulation-resistant, yet accurate calculations for values such as TVLs. Pricing is ultimately handled by Chainlink, while our flexible architecture allows rapid updating of the balance computations across the system.
🔮 Looking Ahead: Cross-Chain Solutions
Our mission at APY.Finance has always been to make yield accessible. We are always looking to the future to see how we can simplify yield farming for our users. As such, we’ve been evaluating potential cross-chain solutions such as BSC or L2 scaling solutions.

Alpha Release Update
👾 Weekly Update 3/5 - 3/11 👾
This week at APY.Finance we are finalizing smart-contract development to freeze our code for the scheduled security audit, completing front-end dashboard analytics, and beginning private user experience testing.
📈 Progress on remaining tasks:
[100% Complete] APY manager development
[90% Complete] Chainlink integration
[85% Complete] APY dashboard analytics
[60% Complete] DeFi Legos development
[10% Complete] User experience testing
[In-Progress] Complete security audit
[In-Progress] Mainnet launch
🗳 Smart Contracts
To ensure that we are taking full advantage of upcoming security audits, we are taking a comprehensive approach in presenting all systems for the auditors, and developing noscripts to assist auditors in quickly staging various testing environments to test the system’s security with a wide array of parameter permutations.
APY Engineers are also putting the finishing touches on the Chainlink integration, as we transition from price feeds quoted in ETH to price feeds quoted in USD. This will lead to more reliable and consistent calculations, as we are no longer tied to the volatility of ETH’s price fluctuation
🌐 Front-End
An update to the Dashboard was completed to enable the display of platform earnings over time. We’ll continue to iterate on improving the dashboard’s clarity, including adding additional metrics, including a user’s individual earnings over time.
With the completion of the platform features on schedule, we will switch gears to complete the user experience test to validate the new features, and update the APY Landing page.
💻 New Hire
We've onboarded a new back-end engineer to assist in developmental updates to our backend infrastructure and rewards system. This hire frees up our smart contract engineers to focus on core platform development.
