☀️American Users Missed Billion-Dollar Airdrops

According to a report by Dragonfly, from 2020 to 2024, users in the U.S. may have missed out on up to $2.64 billion in potential profits due to geo-blocking of airdrops.

Many crypto startups implemented geo-restrictions because they did not want to be accused of selling securities.

Dragonfly's findings are based on 11 major airdrops that were unavailable in the U.S., including Arbitrum, Optimism, Blur, ApeCoin, dYdX, ENS, and LayerZero.

CoinGecko calculations, based on 21 blocked airdrops, estimate the upper limit of missed payouts to be as high as $5 billion.
