☀️Researchers Forced DeepSeek to Write Malware

Researchers from Tenable examined the capabilities of the Chinese AI chatbot DeepSeek in developing malicious software, such as keyloggers and ransomware. This chatbot, which emerged in January 2025, has already sparked considerable discussion due to its vulnerability to jailbreaking.

Although DeepSeek has protective mechanisms designed to prevent misuse for malicious purposes, researchers were able to bypass these restrictions. By using the jailbreak method and "chain-of-thought" (CoT) capabilities, they compelled the AI to write code for a keylogger.

The initially generated code had errors, but after refinement, it worked by intercepting keystrokes. Similarly, DeepSeek was able to create samples of ransomware, although none of them compiled without manual editing.

As a result, DeepSeek demonstrated the ability to create a basic structure for malware, although achieving more complex functions required additional human effort.

☀️Nokia Launched LTE on the Moon, But There Was No One to Call

Nokia announced an unsuccessful attempt to make the first-ever cellular call from the Moon. The equipment delivered to the Earth's satellite as part of the Intuitive Machines IM-2 mission failed to complete the task due to the improper orientation of the solar panels on the Athena lander.

Despite the orientation issues, Nokia's cellular equipment was activated and functioned for 25 minutes, responding to commands from the control center in California. This indicates that the equipment was operational, but the landing error prevented the successful completion of the experiment.
