Oh, damn, Brighter Shores is out already? I completely forgot it was coming out this week!

If you don't know, it's the new MMO from Andrew Gower (of RuneScape fame), he's been working at it for years ever since he left Jagex

Considering it's free to play, i would say it's at the very least worth a try today...

Adam Freeland - Cope Remixed Megamix (20.11.2009).7z
80.7 MB
In the spirit of my other Adam Freeland music posts, and as a cheeky dig at today's political happenings, i give you the best album i could post for the occasion

That's, right, it's Cope Remixed, a very nice live megamix from 2009

mp3 only, sadly. But i'm sure you'll cope, somehow.

TaQ - ongaq stromatolite.7z
And on another note, related to this musicpost that i could honestly re-write to be more thorough in the future, i watched The Shaman today, a short film (15 minutes of runtime) by Marco Kalantari about shamans in the future psychically fighting robots using music as a catalyst.

It's not as good as it sounds.

TaQ worked on the soundtrack and his recording studio, ongaq, worked on its music production as a whole. Here's a featurette about them working on it.

I did not like it, not at all. It's pretty stiff, any good ideas it has in theory fall flat very quickly in execution, the acting is amateurish (which, in all honesty, makes sense) and in trying to be cryptic and mysterious it just ends up being a confusing mess, and anything it tries to accomplish comes off as forced. There are no real characters either.
Any more words I'd use to describe it would result longer than the noscript and the runtime, and i won't bother. The VFX are nice, especially for an amateur production from 2015, but that's it as far as cinematography goes.
That being said, the music was indeed quite good. It's quite possibly the only real silver lining to it. If you manage to find the score for it (i couldn't), it's definitely worth a listen, and you can tell TaQ was involved if you know his style from his other works, RADIAL and Tokyo Jungle's OST specifically.

Don't take my word for it though (never take anyone's word when it comes to art, bad or good as it may be), you can watch the entirety of it on Vimeo for free.
