americans with student debt can now apply online for student debt relief on balances held before 30th June 2022, for up to 10k USD in debt relief if the applicant didn’t receive a “Federal Pell Grant” while in college, and up to 20k USD if they did. this relief will not be taxed federally but may be subject to state-level tax, because of course.
