It's very cold around our part of the world at the moment, make sure to wrap your babies warm!

#Nutrition: Suggested 3 Day Menu for a baby aged 8 to 10 months (or above). This is only to give a vague idea of the type of meals your child can be eating; at least one portion of meat a day and healthy portions of fat.
🍎 The milk in the meal plan refers to breastmilk or any substitute that you have decided to use.
🍎Always use healthy fats when cooking, and NEVER seed-derived oils. Regular butter can also be used in cooking but should be added at the end, for flavour, and not heated to high temperatures as it can become carcinogenic.
🍎Eggs should be given often, as they are a good source of fat and choline; a valuable nutrient for neurotransmitter formations in first years of life.
🍎While rice cakes and sourdough CAN be part of your baby's diet, moderate their consumption due to their relatively low nutrient value.
🍎Ensure that ham and bacon are nitrate-free, and opt for grass-fed meat. If feasible, choose organic options, although it's important not to stress if this isn't always possible.

#Activities: Pic related is the most versatile activity for babies (6m+) and toddlers I've found. Basically:
Step 1: Fill box with paper and hidden toys (alternatively just fill the box with anything)
Step 2. Give box to baby
Step 3: ????
Step 4: Profit

#Healthcare: Paracetamol (Known in the US as Tylenol) is often suggested to be given to infants and kids for mild pains, fever, or teething. It has important drawbacks:
👎 It depletes glutathione production in the liver. Glutathione plays a main role in liver detoxification. Paracetamol is the #2 cause for liver transplant worldwide.
👎 It is an endocrine disruptor - increases the risk for a range of disorders when used in pregnancy.
👎 Usage during early infancy correlates with asthma in later childhood.
👎 Of course, increases likelihood of autism when taken often.
👎For babies, comes with its own artificial flavouring.
So, what can you use instead?
💚 Chamomile - a herbal infusion calms the baby and chamomile granules soothe sore gums.
💚 Yarrow is anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and eliminates mucous in the body. (2 Years+)
💚 Vitamin C - best added to water or milk in the form of acerola cherry powder.
💚 Electrolytes - breast milk, juice with minerals or coconut water do a great job at hydrating your baby.

But of course, for mild pain (as all us adults should know from life), the best medicine is distraction.

Extremely interesting thought:

You know how when you’re in a flow state reality becomes more malleable and you can see and feel your potential?
In this expanded state your metabolism is increased and you’re able to be very creative.
You feel very much alive.

It might just so be that babies experience this state naturally due to their extremely high metabolism.

Rather than through drugs, such a child-like state of open/full perception could be restored by increasing exposure to novel situations and freeing yourself from authoritarian minds.

Your Baby Can Read: For those here who allow screen time, I attach a few videos of an old series teaching your child how to read, maybe even before they can speak. The videos play hundreds of spoken and written words. Each multi-sensory, interactive video also includes songs, poems, and a word game segment. The video series is suitable for babies from 6 months to children aged 5 years.

Bilingualism is a remarkable cognitive skill that offers numerous advantages to individuals, particularly those who develop proficiency in more than one language during their formative years.
Bilingualism has also been correlated with an early development of metalinguistic awareness—the capacity to consciously reflect on the essence of language. This, in turn, contributes to the child's advanced comprehension of semiotics, particularly the doctrine of signs, with (as posited by John Locke) words being the most prevalent signs around us. It comes as no surprise that research consistently supports the proposition that bilingual children tend to exhibit superior cognitive control compared to their monolingual counterparts.

To authentically hope for bilingualism in our baby, we need to spend around 30% of the week speaking the language that we hope they will use.

Answers to some common questions about bilingualism taken from a book by Colin Baker - A teachers and parents guide to Bilingualism.
1. Is it better to develop two languages together or one language later than the other?
2. Is it better for my child to learn a language early to secure better storage in the brain?
3. Will learning a second language interfere with the development of the first language?
