Beaver lore fact: Genetic scientist worldwide agree this is what the future of human evolution will look like
Beaver Lore Fact: Last night was the Full Beaver Moon. The Full Beaver Moon is the name given to the full moon which occurs in November. It gets it's name from ancient North American civilizations, who associate it with beavers collecting food for the winter, and patching up their dams in the strong moonlight for one last time before the water completely freezes over during winter.

Beaver lore fact: Beavers do not hibernate. In winter they do mostly stay inside of their lodge however, since there aren't any greens to feed on and the surface of the water is frozen, thus not leaving a lot of places to get out of a pond or stream.
Beaver architecture fact: Because of the low availability of both food and occasions to get out of the water during winter, beavers spend a great deal of autumn/fall collecting fresh branches which they keep in their underwater winter supply, marked in red on the illustration. The cold temperatures of the water help keep the branches soft and fresh so they can be nibbled on throughout winter.

Humans would not invent refrigerators until 1755, and they only started appearing in household homes in 1913.
Rare beaver! This rare capture shows a beaver with dry fur. Since beavers are usually always in the water, or only out of the water for very short periods of time, most pictures and videos of wild beavers show them with wet fur. When dry, the fur appears very fluffy and lighter in color than when it's wet.
