🔎 Let’s start introducing you to the unique features of Bidask!

Slippage in the Bidask Protocol will operate in a way that may be unfamiliar, even for active users of DEX platforms across different blockchains. On a typical DEX, when slippage occurs, the entire trade that the user attempted is reverted, and user receives all his tokens back. In Bidask, however, trades will be executed based on the principle of "partial execution".

Partial execution refers to a type of trade execution where assets are exchanged up to the point where all market participants are satisfied with the exchange price.

Therefore, when making a trade, you will set the edge price at which you are willing to exchange your initial asset. Upon execution, you will receive all tokens that were exchanged at a price acceptable to you, while any remaining tokens that could not be exchanged will stay in your possession.

👉 This implementation is extremely convenient during price movements, as it ensures that the user completes part exchange at a favorable price, rather than simply receiving his tokens back without making any trade.

🔍We continue introducing you to the unique features of Bidask!

Conventional CLMM DEXes offer the ability to provide liquidity uniformly over a range, from the minimum specified tick to the maximum, with the same number of tokens in each discrete price range (bin). This approach is simple, but not flexible.

📊 Bidask allows users to provide liquidity with a unique number of tokens in each bin — what we call a custom shape of liquidity, within a single transaction. This allows you to further concentrate your liquidity, boosting its efficiency, as well as flexibly configure the desired average price of position and potential impermanent loss, adjusting them to your financial strategy.
Although the custom shape can be anything, Bidask brings the most popular shapes of liquidity into ready-made setups: spot, curve and bid-ask shapes.

⚫️Spot is a flat shape of liquidity, just like on conventional DEXes.

⚫️Curve shape concentrates most of your assets in the center of your position, allowing you to farm more fees during low volatility while maintaining a wide range overall.

⚫️Bid-ask, on the contrary, concentrates liquidity to the edges of the position, increasing income during high volatility.

In addition, custom shapes allow you to customize the average price of assets swap to manage impermanent loss.

📝 For example:
Imagine your TON-USD₮ $5 - $6 range position completely swapped over to TON, which fell in price to $4. You can consider it as you bought TON at an average price of $5.5. To continue earning fees, you need to move your position toward the current price. If your new average price is below $5.5 (e.g. $4 - $5 position), you will fix your impermanent loss by selling TON at $4.5 as it grows, and make the loss permanent. You could have placed a position $4 - $7, but then half of your funds would be sitting idle waiting for TON to rise to a price close to $7, making the position ineffective.

👉 Instead, you can place bid-ask position at $4 - $6.25 range, getting rid of the intermittent loss and still earn nice fees!
