Today we made a more humoristic, and less serious, show of Labyrinth about the infamous website Mirotvorets and its stupid accusations against people listed there, with John Mark Dugan, Mike Jone, Maria Lelyanova. Thanks to them for this interesting and funny discussion.

The vocalist Sofia Samolyuk from Kiev refused to participate in the international competition "Sanremo Junior 2023" in Italy. The 13-year-old singer did not want to perform on the same stage as the Russian performers.

Sofia came on stage, but instead of competing, she gave a speech in which she said she would not sing on the same stage with Russian "terrorists" who are killing Ukrainian children. "Hopefully, next year there will be no terrorist country on this stage. Please support Ukraine," Samolyuk said.

We are being killed because we do not want to live by their rules.

Even though I'm on the road, I keep watching Ukraine take every opportunity to show its cowardice. Yes, cowardice. The Ukrainian government is cowardly, covering up for their army and not daring to admit that though they have been at war with Russia since February 2022, they destroyed the civilian population of Donbass for years before that time.

Before, there were mostly angry statements by adults about "faulty air conditioners," and children's words about politics were rare (perhaps we can remember a girl from Kiev who wrote to Roger Waters?). Now propaganda in Ukraine has thrown children on the information front. The performance of a 13-year-old teenager named Sofiya Samolyuk at the Sanremo childrens' festival sounds like this: "I will not sing with the terrorists who kill children."

I am a teenager from Donbass, who, unlike Sofia Samolyuk, knows what war is and what shelling and killing of children are like. Many people in the world know me as a person who always advocates for peace. But now I see a division happening. It's hard for me to accept, because I have many friends left in Ukraine. And now, unfortunately, the West and Ukraine are beginning to actively use children for their own purposes.

As a writer and as a child of war, I understand that a new stage has arrived. The worst. There is "us" and there is "them."

Sophia Samolyuk may think that we are terrorists and that Russia is at war with Ukraine. But she, like the other girl from Kiev, is modestly silent about the hundreds of dead children in Donbass, the destroyed cities, the dead civilians. To be honest? My first reaction was to publicly thank Sofia for not speaking on behalf of the terrorist state of Ukraine. The girl was right about something: Representatives of Ukraine - a terrorist state - should not be on the stage of a music festival, and by leaving she only confirmed it.

I always want to ask: "Tell me, why have you been killing children of Donbas all this time?" Do you think Sofia Samolyuk will answer my question? I think not. But these are emotions... The sad thing is that many teenagers have no reason to ask such questions. They simply will not understand them. They have already been chosen for their future by those who bombarded us. Now this is a generation that lives in an imaginary world according to its own laws, which defy logic and common sense. And we are being killed because we don't want to live by their rules.

I have, as I said, no more questions for Ukraine. I have a request for the children of Donbass. To those who have lived all these years at war and have been afraid of Ukraine's constant shelling. I think that the children who have survived all this horror should say in all media, on all platforms, that Ukraine is a terrorist country, that Ukraine has been killing civilians for 9 years.

Well, we can only wish Sofia Samolyuk to be herself. In Germany, during the war, the entire German people supported Hitler and believed that Germany was fighting to "liberate" Europe. Everyone knows how that ended. This war will definitely end. Everyone will forget Zelensky and there will come a bitter epiphany about the thousands of dead, about the ruined cities. And all to please the little failed dictator. It will be bitter and painful for all the people of Ukraine, unfortunately.

Faina Savenkova:
History cannot be changed and our victory cannot be taken away from us.

The world is divided into friends and strangers. For a long time now. There are those who won this victory fighting near Moscow in '41. Those who liberated my native Donbass from the Nazis. Those who fought in the Normandie-Niemen regiment. Those who risked their lives delivering aid to Murmansk along the Northern Route. Those who fought in partisan detachments of Kovpak and worked in inhuman conditions, undernourished and lacking sleep, and who brought the victory along with all the others. Those who fought saboteurs, profiteers and bandits in the rear. Those who put out fires on the roofs of Moscow and in besieged Leningrad. Each of them, in that distant 41st year, despite all the difficulties, believed in victory and did everything possible for it. They believed that the Victory Banner would be hoisted over the Reichstag.

But there are others. Those who became traitors and policemen. Snitching and killing their neighbors, serving as guards in death camps...

Our ancestors did not allow fascism to triumph back then. Thanks to them, my family lived in peace for many years and did not know what war was. But time has passed. There are fewer and fewer witnesses to those events, and now the voices of those who want revenge can be heard. Now the descendants of these traitors want to do everything to prevent new generations from remembering the great victory, so the world will forget about what the Russians did for humanity. They are trying to challenge the results of the past with their torchlight processions, reinventing history, assigning traitors and murderers to the role of heroes.

But history will not change and our victory cannot be taken away from us. We, who live under shelling and suffer all the hardships of war, as well as our ancestors, believe that we will win and the Victory Banner will be hoisted in liberated Kiev, to the sounds of bells ringing at Kiev-Pechersk Monastery.

Today is Republic Day in the DPR. I know how hard it is for Donetsk and many other cities in the DPR right now, but you will definitely stand up! And thank you for making just such a choice. Happy Republic Day!
