Pfizer uses two Cationic liposomes for their LNPs: ALC-0315 & ALC-0159.

"ALC-0315 is an ionizable lipid which has been used to form lipid nanoparticles for delivery of RNA. ALC-0315 is one of the components in the BNT162b2 vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 in addition to ALC-0159, DSPC, and cholesterol."

"This product is for research use only and not for human use."

Cationic liposomes are only used in clinical trials in terminally ill patients, due to high biochemical reactivity.

"The cationic liposomes showed a dose-dependent toxicity and were found to be most toxic for cells of macrophage origin."
