Microsoft Visual C++ is a C, C++ and C++/CLI compiler for Windows. The most recent version of the compiler is Visual C++ 2017. Visual C++ does not support inline assembly at all for x64 native or ARM. Intrinsics are preferred as they leave register scheduling to the optimizer without lots of strange boundaries forced by inline asm
