This one is inspired by Roman SPQR banners. Instead of an eagle I drew a vulture, representing Vulture Peak (a place where the Buddha gave teachings such as the Heart Sutra). Included are the colours of the five Buddha families, a wish-fulfilling gem and a laurel wreath.

I tried something new with this one. I saw a guy on instagram called johndrawing who uses an interesting combination of watercolours and coloured pencils. I tried to use his method in this piece but I'd need a few more attempts to get the process down the way I want.

Guru Rinpoche painted and gilded!
The gilding is just a gold finish and not proper gold leaf (It's expensive and it's my first time gilding).
Completed using liquid watercolours, gouache, pens and inks.

Finally finished this mirror painting! There’s not any super intentional symbolism behind it, I just did it because I thought it looked cool lol. Painted with acrylics so I have no idea how well it will hold up over time. Mirror was £4 from a charity shop, what a steal!
I wanted to sand the frame and re varnish it but right now I can’t be bothered. Thanks for looking ☺️
