Octus Bridge is undergoing planned technical maintenance work and an update that will take a few hours.

One of the features that will be affected by the update is the "Missing EVERs to pay gas fees?" feature. If you use this feature when transferring USDT from Ethereum to Everscale, for example, it will take a small portion of your USDTs and give you some EVERs in Everscale to pay for gas. After the update is complete, the feature will attach some ETH from your wallet to your transfer and use it to give you some EVERs on the Everscale side, ensuring that you receive the exact amount of USDT requested. Remember that the feature works when transferring tokens from EVM to Everscale.

Services that use this feature will need to refactor their frontend by the beginning of next week to ensure the feature continues to work properly. Following the update, all the relevant guides and source codes will be published.

This year has tested us, but we haven't given up and neither have you.

What is EVER? 🪙

EVER is Everscale's native coin and primary asset. It is the lifeblood of the network and is used to pay small fees to make transactions and interact with smart contracts (sending tokens, swapping and farming on FlatQube, etc.). Validators receive EVER as a reward for helping to keep the network running.

Everscale, unlike other blockchains, has a feature that allows it to have multiple native coins, but this feature is not yet widely used.

Sergey Shashev goes deep on the true value of CBDCs in Entrepreneur

Leading business publication Entrepreneur has published a deep-dive article on the purpose and potential of CBDCs written by Broxus founder Sergey Shashev.

"With CBDCs, the value is in the here and now. The utility of these digital currencies is something real, something that addresses shortcomings that are palpable around the world right now. I believe that the framework in which we discuss CBDCs needs to change so that ongoing efforts to integrate this technology into the fabric of the world economy may come to fruition," says Shashev.

Drawing on sociological and economic studies, Shashev makes the case for the tech as a means of opening up access to banking services for over a billion people, as well as Everscale's collaboration with DA5 and CBDC privacy concerns.

Venom Ventures Fund, a Web3 and blockchain innovation fund managed by Abu Dhabi-based investment fund manager Iceberg Capital, has committed to a $5M investment in Everscale to help it further expand its development teams and boost its number of ecosystem projects.

Iceberg Capital Limited launched the Venom Ventures Fund in partnership with Venom Foundation, the first officially licensed and regulated layer-1 blockchain operating within the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).

The Venom and Everscale teams will be working together to further develop both blockchains and their respective ecosystems, at the same time bringing blockchain adoption closer to real business use cases. Current initiatives such as digital asset tokenization platforms, a full framework for CBDCs, stablecoins and payment solutions with crypto-to-fiat gateways are already making good headway.
