Anyone else feel like moving one button in Expo means a minute-long coffee break you didn't ask for?😭
The "why is Expo so slow to load?!" frustration is real.
Today hit different.
I was out, heading somewhere, and boom rain hit me hard. Soaked. My jacket felt like it gained 5kg.
And man, I usually hate being squished between two people in a taxi. But today? It felt... warm.
How could I hate this? 😂
Imagine if my mom hadn’t nagged me to wear that jacket (yeah, forget the umbrella).
One of the most uncomfortable but oddly comforting—days of my life.

The weather said “chill” and really meant it 🤧
It’s 13°C and I’m out here freezing like my WiFi buffer speed.
Can’t even grip my own hands they’ve gone on strike 🧤💔
AND it won’t stop raining. Who ordered this?! 🌧️😭

My life as an unemployed graduate has finally ended.
It’s been a month and a half full of rejections, trials, and countless "we’ll get back to you"s.
Shoutout to hard work, my never-give-up mindset, and most importantly—God.
Because truly, nothing happens without Him.
Finally got the job. 🙌

Well… I jinxed it. 😅
Turns out the company was too far, and their car couldn’t even reach my area. The shift started at 12 AM, and they were super strict with timing.
No way I was gonna find transport at midnight just to get there, so I told them I had to let it go.

Still, I passed their exam and gained some experience—so I’m taking that as a win. 🙏
Back to the job hunt. Hoping for a better opportunity soon. 💪
Linked in just rejected me
From now on, I’m planning to post a weekly to-do list. At the end of the week, I’ll share whether I actually crushed it… or if it crushed me.

The idea is that this will help me finish things faster—because right now, I have unlimited side projects, but only 1–3 are actually done. The rest are just… chilling in my “maybe later” folder.

I totally stole this strategy from some developer channels I respect the most. If it works for them, maybe it’ll keep me from drifting off into another “new project smell” rabbit hole.
The Coming Week (Week 1):
Finish my current project
🚀 Deploy it (and pray nothing breaks)
Waiting for Resend to verify my domain feels like they’ve sent a guy on a bicycle to check my DNS records in person . By the time it’s done, my domain might be old enough to retire.😭
I had a wild day trying to optimize my Expo app's refresh rate. My genius plan: use Ethernet for the laptop and its WiFi hotspot for my phone. What could go wrong? Everything. The hotspot failed, I messed with DNS settings, and then my entire network connection went down. After 4 hours of debugging, I finally understand all those "Linux user can't turn on WiFi" memes. Welcome to the club, me. 😫😂

Finally wrapped up the MVP of my ASU Students App side project 🎉 (after fighting bugs harder than my GPA).

The app comes with a website for posting campus updates — news, curriculum, gallery, cafeteria schedule (yes, you’ll finally know when injera day is) and more.
The mobile app has extra goodies like GPA calculation (for those “uh-oh” moments), a social hub, and curriculum info — basically campus life in your pocket.

I built this because, as a fresh student, I had no idea what was going on half the time. Thought it’d be cool to save new students from the “wandering around like a lost Wi-Fi signal” phase.

Even though I’ve graduated, I feel like giving back to the campus that gave me so much. And yes, I’ve got another project cooking to solve more campus headaches.

Try it out before my server cries 🖥💀
