🔹 Microgrants for ecosystem restoration
Apply for one of 10 microgrants (USD 1,000 each) from the Youth Task Force, with support from UNEP and FAO. Projects restoring forests, land, freshwater, coastal, mountain, and urban ecosystems are eligible.

🔹 Facilitation course for environmentalists
A free online facilitation course for environmentalists and eco-activists, covering group leadership and discussion moderation.

Climate disinformation was explicitly addressed at COP30 as a structural challenge to climate action. Public narratives increasingly frame fossil fuels and climate change in a positive or misleading way.
One recent example is “Coalie”, a mascot introduced in the United States to promote fossil fuel messaging.
In the EECCA region, climate disinformation is reinforced by limited access to environmental data and chronic underfunding of independent media.
At COP30, 21 countries endorsed the Declaration on Information Integrity on Climate Change. The declaration prioritises fact based climate reporting and opens access to funding for investigative climate journalism. No country from the EECCA region has signed the declaration so far.

The CAN International Board consists of 15 members and a representative from the EECCA region has been elected to the Board. This is very significant for our region.
