FEBRUARY 19: THE PROTESTANT PRIEST
Blessed John Sullivan
Priest
Died: 1933
---
He was an Irish Jesuit priest. He was known as the “Protestant Priest” because he was baptized and raised as a Protestant. He got converted to Catholicism when he was 35. He was often seen riding his bike going to the sick. Soon, he started working miracles. He became known as the "healer priest." He once healed a child with infantile paralysis by just touching him. A girl with tuberculosis got well one month after he blessed her.

Prayer for Pope Francis in His Time of Trial
Heavenly Father,
We lift up Pope Francis to You in this moment of uncertainty. If he is fearful, bring him peace; if he is weak, grant him strength. Surround him with Your love and the prayers of the faithful.
Lord Jesus, You carried the cross of suffering before us. Walk with Your servant now—comfort him, heal him if it be Your will, and prepare his heart for whatever lies ahead.
Holy Spirit, fill him with courage and trust. Through the intercession of Mary and all the saints, may he remain steadfast in faith, whether in sickness or in health.
Through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

FEBRUARY 19: HIS DILAPIDATED BOAT DID NOT SINK
Saint Quodvultdeus of Carthage
Bishop
Died: 439
---
He was a North African bishop who is considered as one of the Fathers of the Church. He was a friend of St. Augustine. When Carthage was invaded by the Arian king Genseric, he was sent into exile on a decrepit boat with neither sails nor oars. Though it should have sank, the boat carried him to safety to Naples. There, he continued his ministry and fought the Pelagian heresy. Sadly, he never made it back to North Africa.
