Zuckerberg: Got 3 friends? Cool, here’s 12 AI ones — problem solved!

Zuck had a revelation: "The average American has only 3 friends but craves 15. So we’re adding AI companions to our apps."
Right… because when you want 15 candies but have 3, the best solution is 12 high-res photos of candy. Thanks, Meta — loneliness has never been this scalable.
🙂 Not a bug, just weaponized social design.

⚡️Warren Buffett steps down after 60 years — and gets a 10-minute standing ovation

At 94, Buffett has officially left his role as CEO of Berkshire Hathaway. An arena full of shareholders stood and clapped for ten straight minutes — not out of courtesy, but respect.
Over six decades, he built an investment empire, growing Berkshire's stock by hundreds of times and consistently outperforming the S&P 500 and Dow Jones. His net worth? Around $165 billion.

A living legend who made capitalism look classy. 🫡

🪐 Planet Nine? Oh come on, not this again!

Astronomers just lit the internet up with yet another Planet 9 candidate — 700 AU out, orbit tilted at a wild 120° (bro's not even trying to fit in). It takes 20,000 years to circle the Sun. They spotted it in just two infrared scans and went: “Yep, might be the one!” 🤯
They say it's Neptune-sized. But honestly? Feels more like a blurry dot with big dreams. More data coming soon — and if it checks out, it'll be the first new planet in 200 years. If not... well, just another cosmic NPC with main character energy.

👀 Or maybe it was just a pixel, Carl?

💸 When you buy a $4M Lamborghini yacht… and bring 32 friends like physics doesn’t exist

In Miami, 32 people were rescued from a sinking Lamborghini Tecnomar 63, which — plot twist — is legally built for just 16 max. That day? They loaded it up with double that. Because apparently, luxury comes with a side of chaos 🚤
This carbon-fiber beast was made for speed, not crowds: 63 knots, 4,000 horsepower, pure design porn. But guess what? Even rich toys can’t float when you pack them like a party bus.
Coast Guard, fire crews, good Samaritans — all teamed up for the rescue. No injuries, just soaked wallets and egos. The yacht? Salvaged. The shame? Still floating.

Lesson? Even a million-dollar boat doesn’t bend the laws of buoyancy.

Is Duolingo a warning sign of the AI job crisis — or just the new normal?

This week, Duolingo proudly declared it’s going “AI-first” and replacing contractors with artificial intelligence. But the truth? That shift already started in 2023 — quietly. First translators, then writers. Now, it’s official.

Journalist Brian Merchant says this isn’t some sci-fi robot apocalypse — it’s a very real, very corporate job crisis. A string of executive decisions where AI = cutting costs + boosting control. It’s not helping humans — it’s replacing them.
And it hits hardest at the bottom: new grads can’t get in, freelancers are pushed out, and creative pros are watching their work vanish.
So the question isn’t can AI take your job — it’s whether we’re okay with letting it become the go-to

excuse for not hiring people at all

💥 Charlie Shrem is back — and bringing Bitcoin faucets with him (yes, with “vibe coding”)

Crypto OG, ex-con, and eternal wildcard Charlie Shrem just launched 21million.com — a throwback Bitcoin faucet that gives out free BTC for solving CAPTCHAs. Straight 2010 energy.

🧠 Says he’s “vibe coding” (whatever that means) and wants to make Bitcoin accessible again — no whale wallets, just click and earn like the good ol’ days.
Right now the site has: — 0 BTC — Broken form — A working CAPTCHA and max nostalgia

Sounds silly — but the idea’s legit: give people a way into crypto without needing $96K or five DeFi tutorials. Just press, earn, and start the rabbit hole.
⚠️ If this thing actually works — grab your free sats before the suits show up.

Harley x DOOM: a hellbike built for the Slayer himself

Harley-Davidson and Bethesda just dropped the most metal thing on two wheels — a DOOM: The Dark Ages motorcycle, forged for one rider only. One beast. One purpose: intimidation through horsepower.
What makes it demonic:
Front shaped like dragon Serrath’s head, the headlight glows like it’s ready to melt souls;
Runes, armor plates, glowing LED wings — full slayer aesthetic;
Red-hot wheels that scream “GPU meets apocalypse.”
Bethesda calls it “a marriage made in hell.”
We call it the final boss with handlebars.
Catch it May 16 in Sydney.

DOOM: The Dark Ages drops May 15.

Elon Musk now owns a city. Nope, not in the metaverse — in Texas.

Welcome to Starbase — a legit town formed from Boca Chica, Texas, where nearly everyone works at SpaceX. The vote? 212 “yes” vs. 6 “lol no.” Democracy, Musk-style.
Why bother? — It lets SpaceX fast-track construction, zoning, and infrastructure for Starship; — Basically, less red tape, more launchpads.
Technically still under U.S. and Texas law, but Elon now runs a city. With Cybertrucks on the streets, a Memes Street, and — no joke — a bronze Musk head on the beach.

Startup → rocket → city. Nation of Elon next?

Runway just unlocked video generation via 3D models — and it’s wild 💀

Yep, not just text prompts anymore — now you can upload a 3D model, and the AI will generate video around it, like you're the director and it's your VFX team.
Take the Porsche demo: without a model, the car gets squished, flipped, and mashed like a fever dream. But once you upload a 3D base, things stabilize — geometry holds, and textures wrap around it clean.
This isn’t just prompting anymore — it’s neural visual control, next level. Your ideas, your models, your movie.
🙂 just your personal Pixar starter kit.

Game’s not over yet: Netflix drops teaser for final Squid Game season

Out of nowhere, Netflix just hit us with the teaser for Season 3 — the grand finale. Higher stakes, fewer allies, and probably another twist that’ll break the internet.
Premiere’s set for June 27, so buckle up — the final round’s about to begin. 🦑 Last game. Zero mercy.

F1 drivers hit the track in full-size LEGO cars made of 440,000 bricks

At the Miami GP, F1 pulled a wild move: each driver took a lap in a life-sized LEGO replica of their car — 440K bricks, ~1 ton in weight, Pirelli slicks, and an electric motor maxing out at 20 km/h. Still, enough speed for a cheeky pre-race battle.
Quick math check: 5.4 km lap, 20 km/h top speed = ~16 minutes per lap. But building each car? 22,000 hours. Yep — 80x longer to make than to drive.
And no, this wasn’t a one-off. These LEGO beasts are hitting the road and heading to more F1 events.
Next stop: grid penalties for missing a piece.
