“An independent Israeli group of physicians, lawyers, scientists, and researchers called the Professional Ethics Front today advised the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regarding the upcoming FDA discussion on administering COVID-19 vaccines to children aged 5-11, expressing “severe concerns” regarding the reliability and legality of official Israeli COVID vaccine data.”

Pfizer submitted their briefing document to the FDA ahead of the 10/26 meeting to authorize the COVID-19 vaccine for ages 5 to <12 years of age.

Here are some of the highlights I pulled out:

- 2250 participants (1518 vaccine recipients and 750 placebo recipients) 5 to <12 years of age were enrolled
- 282 were excluded due to prior infection
- 19 children out of the eligible 1968 had an occurrence of COVID-19 broken down below.
- Of the eligible Fully Vaccinated group (7 Days After Dose 2), 3 children (0.2%) had COVID-19 occurrence. 99.8% remained free of infection.
- Of the eligible Placebo group, 16 children (2.4%) had COVID-19 occurrence. 97.6% remained free of infection.
- [Advertised] Relative risk reduction = 90.7%
- Absolute risk reduction = 2.2%
- No cases of COVID-19 were observed in either the vaccine group or the placebo group in participants with evidence of prior SARS-CoV-2 infection (ie. Natural Immunity Protection is very strong)
- No severe COVID-19 cases (per protocol definition, or per CDC definition) were reported in either group.
- No deaths were reported in either group

Interesting Note on Long-Term Safety: “The number of participants in the current clinical development program is too small to detect any potential risks of myocarditis associated with vaccination. Long-term safety of COVID-19 vaccine in participants 5 to <12 years of age will be studied in 5 post-authorization safety studies, including a 5-year follow-up study to evaluate long term sequelae of post-vaccination myocarditis/pericarditis.”

2021 Excess Deaths Outpace Expectations by 14%, Higher than 2020 Averages

The United States reported 3,440,705 deaths of all ages for year 2020. Expected deaths were 3,026,929. That is an increase/decrease of 413,776 deaths (13.7%).

To date, for the year 2021, United States reported 2,596,946 deaths of all ages. Expected deaths thus far, were 2,278,104. That is an increase/decrease of 318,842 deaths (14.0%).
