ICYMI - Michael Palmer, MD & Sucharit Bhakdi, MD Assess the Pharmacokinetics and Toxicity of the Pfizer mRNA Vaccines
They “summarize the findings of an animal study which Pfizer submitted to the Japanese health authorities in 2020, and which pertained to the distribution and elimination of a model mRNA vaccine.”
In the study on rats, a model vaccine was used which contained the same lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) but the mRNA coded for a model protein (luciferase) vs the spike protein to allow researchers to view the biodistribution throughout the body (luciferase makes the body glow similar to fireflies).
The distribution of the LNP between different organs was measured at various time points following intramuscular injection.
The findings are fascinating and too many to copy/paste here but a screenshot of the summary page is included in this post. Enjoy!
