A Closer Look at Our Wallet Tech

As you might know, Everscale has a variety of smart contract wallets - EverWallet, SafeMSig, Setcode, Surf, WalletV3, and a few others. When it came to integrating Everscale into Chums, we faced a big decision: should we support all these wallets or just focus on one 🤔?

After some thought, we decided to support only EverWallet at the start. Here's why:

Simplicity in User Interface: Supporting multiple wallet types can really complicate the user interface 🤯. We wanted to avoid a scenario where you guys would have to scratch your heads wondering which wallet to send from or to. Keeping it simple makes everyone's life easier ✨.

Streamlining Development: Our goal is to develop cool features like Bridges and NFT clubs. If we had to support multiple wallets, it could lead to tricky situations (think potential collisions) because we'd need to check several wallets for each user. Focusing on one wallet helps us avoid these complexities and deliver better, faster 🚀.

We chose EverWallet contract for a simple reason: it's currently the easiest and most cost-effective option. We believe this choice will make your experience in Chums smoother and more enjoyable.

Chums Update: Progress and Current Focus

Two weeks have flown by since we went public with Chums 🎉, and it's an exciting time to share our progress and current focus.

At Launch, We Had:

1️⃣ Basic integration with the Matrix protocol.
2️⃣ Bridges in Ethereum and Everscale networks.
3️⃣ Several mechanisms at the intersection of Matrix and blockchain.

Thanks to Your Feedback, We've Achieved:

🚀 Enhanced app performance in areas with weak internet connectivity.
🛠 Fixed a display error for NFTs from the ScalePunks collection.
🤝 Collaborated with ambassadors from ScalePunks and Broxie to create two dedicated NFT rooms.
✅ Established a whitelist for NFT rooms.
👀 Corrected an issue where the SafeMSig contract was erroneously engaged in the app, causing confusion among users.
🖋 Added native support for innoscriptions.

Our Current Focus:
We're diligently working on improving message decryption. As you know, Matrix is a secure protocol, and in encrypted groups, new users might have noticed that they can't see the message history—it's all encrypted. Our next update will streamline the experience in these groups, making it more user-friendly and accessible.
