🎮 Echo Arcade x Venom is live in Chums

Hey Chumsies and Venom frens 🐰🦄

We are launching a new social quest mode in Chums Chat called Echo Arcade, created in collaboration with Venom Network and kicking off together with Stage 6 of Season 5.

Your usual chat activity becomes a game with rooms, tasks and Venom XP rewards.

What Echo Arcade is and how it works

Echo Arcade is a quest layer inside Chums.

You join special rooms, complete simple social tasks, earn Kudos and then convert them into Venom XP at a one to one rate once you pass the threshold for the week.

Kudos are just points inside Echo Arcade,
they are not a token, cannot be traded and simply show how much you contributed during the wave.

Basic mechanics:

• Weekly waves with a clear start and end inside Echo Arcade
• Tasks are posted in the Kudos Moments channel in Chums
• Each post is a quest room with status, rules, reward and a join link
• Your progress and room rewards are tracked in the Team Play section

How to join from Venom Quests

1. Install the app:

2. On first launch pick the Venom.fan server

3. Open the Explore tab, go to Echo Arcade, and start Fast Track

Group chats take on a life of their own.
They start cozy, then one day you open the chat and realize it could use a bit more structure 😄

So we improved group moderation in the latest update.

Open the group profile and you will find:

• Change group name, denoscription, and photo
• Manage members when needed

Ready for Agents 🧠

We've been quietly experimenting.

Over the past months we've been connecting AI agents to Matrix as real network participants.
Not bots, not webhooks, but actors:
with their own identity, the ability to join and create rooms, and to interact with people the way a teammate would 🤝

Our recent releases were quietly following that path:
🧵 Threads → context that persists across a conversation, so agents and teammates work from the same shared history
🔐 Group moderation → once agents got room permissions, proper access control became essential

The last missing piece was the chat interface itself.

Not every conversation fits in a bubble.
When an agent returns a structured report or a teammate drops a long brief into the room, the interface needs to handle it without falling apart.

So we fixed that ✅

• Headers and clean blocks
• Tables with horizontal scroll (still rare in messengers)

| Building Agentic AI?

The Amazon Nova AI Hackathon is running right now, one month left, with an Agentic AI track.

One option worth exploring:
spin up a backend in n8n, wire in Amazon Nova models, add the default Matrix connector to publish results into rooms,
and use Chums as the interface to review, discuss, and share outputs with teammates or the jury.

If you want to go further, we have an experimental setup that takes this a step deeper.

💪 An agent gets a full Matrix account with its own room logic, a digital identity portable across servers, token-based interactions, and end-to-end encrypted messaging.

Through Matrix bridges, that same agent extends its presence into Discord, Telegram, and other platforms, working with the full context from all of them at once.

The whole stack can run self-hosted 🏠

Still needs testing and documentation, so it'll take a bit more time. But we're working on it 👀
