Looking back, I had some struggles during my first and second years. I realize now that I didn’t use that time as wisely as I could have. If I had been more focused or intentional back then, I believe I could be at a much higher level right now.

But I also understand that growth takes time  and recognizing this is part of that growth. I’m not dwelling on regret, but I’m using it as motivation to make the most of every opportunity moving forward.

🌿 4. Branches: Manage Your Work

git branch new-branch -> Make a new branch
git checkout branch-name -> Switch to that branch
git checkout main -> Go back to the main branch
git merge branch-name -> Bring changes from one branch into another
git branch -d branch-name -> Delete a branch
git branch -m new-name ->Rename your current branch

👉Tip: Use branches to try new ideas without breaking your main code!

📜5. See Your Commit History

git log -> See all past commits
git log --author="name" -> Commits by a person
git log -- filename -> History for one file
git log -u -> See what changed in each commit
git log --stat -> Summary of changes
git log --patch -> Detailed file changes

👉Great for tracking your work or fixing bugs.

🌐6. Pull & Push: Sync with GitHub

🔽 Pull (download updates):

cd your-folder  
git pull

🔼 Push (upload your changes):

git add .  
git commit -m "your message"  
git push

👉 Tip: Always pull before pushing to avoid conflicts.

Make commands shorter! For example:

git config --global alias.co "checkout"

Now, use git co instead of git checkout 😎

W'd love to hear about your programming journey from the moment you wrote your first line of code to where you are now in your career. What inspired you to pursue this path, and how has your experience evolved over time?

Interviewee

Honestly, my programming journey began when I joined the Software Engineering department at university. Before that, I didn’t have much exposure to coding. But once I started learning it, I became fascinated by how you can solve problems just by writing lines of code.

What really inspired me to continue was the satisfaction of building things from nothing ,watching an idea slowly turn into something real through code.

Have you ever worked with a team? If so, what kind of challenges have you faced in team collaboration, and how did you overcome them?

Interviewee

Yes, I’ve worked with different teams, both in university group projects and during internships and freelance work.
One common challenge I’ve faced is differences in how people communicate or approach problems. Sometimes, it’s hard to align everyone’s pace or expectations.

I’ve learned that being patient, listening carefully, and staying open minded really helps. Also, setting clear goals early on and dividing tasks fairly makes collaboration smoother for everyone.
