It’s just a chill space where I share my thoughts, things I’m learning, mistakes I make, and random dev moments.
I opened this to stay committed, grow, and learn with others.
If you vibe with that, grab your coffee and let’s figure out tech together ☕️💻

The Crab Mentality

One of the most destructive human behaviors.

[Have you ever heard of this one?]

» If you place a crab in a bucket, it'll claw its way up and escape.
» But if you place two crabs in a bucket, something strange happens.
» When one crab claws its way up, the other pulls it back down.
» It doesn't just happen once. It happens every time. Neither crab escapes. Both stay trapped forever.
» This isn't rally about crabs. It's about us.
» If I can't have it, neither should you.
» When someone grows, we feel threatened. Not out of hate, but out of fear.
» Fear of being left behind. Fear of facing our own limits. So we pull. We discourage. We doubt.
» But here's the tragic part: Pulling someone down doesn't lift you up. It just keeps both of you stuck in the same bucket.
» Two people could've climbed out together. Two people could've risen higher. But jealousy builds a ceiling that traps everyone.
» Real strength isn't dragging others down. Real strength is understanding: When you lift someone up, you rise too.
» Support creates momentum. Encouragement multiplies. Climbing together is easier than climbing alone.

Break the Crab Mentality. When you see someone growing, don't pull. Push, Cheer, Lift. Because their exit can become your exit too.

I got the idea after seeing my uncle track expenses in a notebook. I tried it myself, but keeping up and doing monthly calculations was exhausting. So last week, I said screw it and built Flowly a super simple personal finance app that actually works for…

6.3 MB
A few people asked me to build a Flowly app. I was busy last week, but I finally got it done.
Huge shout-out to @Chaos831 for introducing me to CapacitorJS that’s what I used to build it.
Give it a try!
Icon is not updated ... sorry i am lazy 😌

This weekend, I was thinking about building a platform where both new and experienced creators could share their creations apps, websites, designs basically an open-source community showcase with feedback.

Today, I came across this - stark
It’s really cool, and I like it a lot. I realized I don’t need to build one anymore we already have something great.

It was built by @andymarrow . I’ll also sharing my work there from now on.(senoregn 😄) Let’s go show your work and get feedback!

I just lost almost an hour to this 😭

What was happening?
An old server process was still running in the background (a ghost / zombie process 👻).

Even after I fixed the code, the browser was still talking to the old version of the app.
I tried everything:

- Closed VS Code
- Restarted my PC
- Cleared cache

Nothing worked

In the end, changing the port finally made it work.
That’s when I realized the browser had already registered the port with old data. So even after fixing the code, it kept serving the previous state.

Lesson learned ☕️
If your fixes don’t apply, it might not be your code… it might be a ghost.

So you asked for some improvements yesterday, and here I am 😊
I added light and dark themes and also fixed some UI efficiency issues.
Thanks for the feedback and you’re still welcome to share more if you have any!

I’ve deployed Flowly on Stark. I know it’s a simple project, but I just wanted it to be out there.

For everyone who messaged me about the download issue it’s fixed now and working properly, so go check it out.

Love you all ❤️

One downside of working onsite is that you don’t have enough time to invest in yourself like exploring new technologies, building side projects, and so on. Working from home should be normalized here in Ethiopia

You must learn to enjoy life without needing an audience to see that you are enjoying life.
