I recently attended a research summit for big tech and the entertainment industry.
One of the research companies made the above statement.
They are known to have a 90% hit rate on their predictions.

NFT Flipper Busted for Hiding $13M from the IRS
Waylon Wilcox, 45, from Pennsylvania, has pleaded guilty to hiding over $13 million in profits made from flipping 97 CryptoPunks NFTs. Despite raking in millions during the 2021–2022 bull run, Wilcox reported zero to the IRS—literally checking “no” on the crypto question on his tax forms.
He now faces up to 6 years in prison and owes $3.2 million in back taxes.
Reminder to all NFT traders: Your pixelated JPEGs are taxable. The IRS is watching—no matter how rare your PFP is.

The seller bought it a year ago for 4,500 ETH.
Only a 500 ETH loss? Not a big deal?
Well…
ETH was $3,500 back then.
So the buy price = $15.75M
The sale price = $6.1M
Actual loss: ~$10M USD
One of the most expensive L’s in NFT history.
Pain.
