Hey All,

I’m doing a bit of an extended research survey based on the survey we ran in 2020. I'd love some help if you have 5 mins.

This research will be included in the book I’m writing called Embodied Sensemaking. (Should be out this fall.)

The long and short of our previous research indicated that our attempts to offer a more grounded and regulating way of consuming media since 2009 (even around controversy) was working.

This was important to us as it meant we may be contributing to an important cultural change.

Our goal with what we've done over the years (and with this upcoming book) is to help improve how we make sense of the world and the layers (level of consciousness) at which we do.

Are we sensing into how our worldview and values shape our external world? How did these things come to be in the first place? Are we judging and shaming people who simply have different values than us?

Are we building a culture that handle the flow of complexity? Or one that is strung along by the most popular influencers?

Are we embodying what state of being is necessary to navigate the increasingly chaotic times we're in? Or are we just running away due to lack of capacity and? Perhaps becoming hopeless and nihilistic?

—-> Here is the survey if you have 5 mins.
Many people describe very specific details of what happened to them during cardiac arrest. They describe conversations people had, clothes people wore, events that went on 10 or 20 minutes into resuscitation, where certain people are located in a room for example and what they are doing and more.

The Overview Effect

Those who look back at Earth from space have a profound experience called The Overview Effect which is likened to what Eastern traditions call Samadhi.

They transcend the sense of separation and have an experiential realisation of the unity and oneness of all life on Earth, of consciousness and awareness, and the fragility of the living organism we call home.

"This whole Earth perspective I think is the true symbol of this age .. we have to start acting as one species with one destiny." Frank White
