i think today i want to talk about misandry, women and feminism a little
alright then let’s get into it.
do I believe ‘misandry’ is a real problem in any way? not really. misandry exists, unlike reverse racism that’s simply not a thing but it’s not a societal problem or even violent (yet.) so what I want to talk about today isn’t a defense of men or a warning against misandry, I’m focusing on women here and what have been the results of this modern wave of feminism we are living through.

even though libfems and radfems are busy fighting e/o on social media, each finding the other “insufferable” “useless” and incase of terfs to other feminists “in complete betrayal to the female kind” they all seem to follow an interesting pattern that funnily enough i first noticed while reading Normal People by Sally Rooney. Marianne’s friend hears about her abusive boyfriend and her reaction is “Well, you knew how men are!” I’ve seen a repetition of this in radfem circles so often, that bisexual and heterosexual women kind of “invite” this violence unto themselves by being open to dating and having sex with men because you’re supposed to know what men are like, they’re inherently and innately or in case of how libfems see it, they’re conditioned to be violent and “trash”. This is the same type of misandry or just lets say bioessential victim blaming that you see from non-feminist or straight up ANTI feminist trad women. what is the endgame? what are women supposed to do? my biggest problem with my fellow feminists rn is that it’s all expressing frustration but there’s no hope? no change? no different way to envision how we could stop all this harm? and please don’t come at me with that vague bullshit of “liberation of women via revolution” like can we be serious and practical

I think a lot of ppl would benefit from seeing themselves and others (lets say men) as human beings capable of evil and good and also just, ill intention but not ill actions. The whole idea that you are what you think, or worse you are what your fellow men think is just baseless and a conversation killer. The only way you can hold men accountable for their actions is by admitting they are conscious beings who can make their own choices therefore they’re responsible for what they do. If men are all innately bad then how can you blame them when they’re violent? You’re unknowingly making excuses for them yet again.
anyways I had actually a lot more to say but I think I’ll link a few articles I think are cool reads!
