Basic:

Phrase এবং Clause পারতে হলে প্রথমে এই দুটোর পার্থক্য জানতে হবে। (তারপরের বিষয় হলো সেটাকে classification করা)

Phrase
A group of words standing together as a conceptual unit and doesn't have a subject and a finite verb is generally known as a Phrase.
~অর্থাৎ একগুচ্ছ শব্দ যদি একত্রিতভাবে কোনো অর্থ প্রকাশ করে কিন্তু শব্দগুচ্ছের মাঝে যদি কোনো subject অথবা finite verb না থাকে (non finite verb থাকতে পারে কিছুক্ষেত্রে) তবে তাকে Phrase বলে।
** সাধারণত Phrase একাকী পূর্ণাঙ্গ অর্থ প্রকাশ করতে পারে না।
Example: They will meet at the park.
Wherever you go, I will follow.

Clause
Clause is aslo a group of words but clause contains a subject and a predicate (verb).
~Clause'ও pharse এর মতই তবে এখানে subject এবং verb থাকবে।
** Clause কে বাক্য থেকে আলাদা করলেও একাকী পূর্ণাঙ্গ অর্থ প্রকাশ করতে পারে।
Example: They will meet at the park.
Wherever you go, I will follow.

🔔Clause বের করার যুগান্তকারী শর্টকাট:-

😁এই কঠিন Clause কিভাবে শর্টকাট পরীক্ষা হলে বের করবেন এই বিষয়ে দু' একটি গোপন কথা বলি।
Clause আছে মোট=৩ টা।
1) Noun Clause
2) Adjective Clause
3) Adverbial Clause।
পরীক্ষায় অপশন থাকে ৪ টা করে। অর্থাৎ ক, খ, গ,ঘ। তাহলে ৪ টি অপশনে মাত্র তিনটি Clause বসবে বাকি যে অপশন থাকবে তা বাদ দিবেন। এই একটি অপশন বাদ দেওয়ার কারণে আপনার কাজ ৫০% হয়ে গেছে। এবার কাজেই কথায় আসি। কোন Clause কোন উপায়ে শর্টকাট বের করবেন।

(1)❤️ Noun Clause: এই Clause-এ Underline এর বরাবর It বসিয়ে যদি বাক্যটি পূর্ণ হয় তবে বুঝবেন এটি অবশ্যই Noun Clause। আপনাকে Verb এর আগে, পরে, পিছনে, preposition এর পরে কিংবা Appositive হিসেবে এই ৬টি জায়গায় Noun Clause বসে এই লজিক শিখতে হবে না আর। শুধু It বসিয়ে বাক্য পূর্ণ হলেই Noun Clause। যেমন-

(১) (That he is a criminal) is known to all.

(২) We don't know (what he is talking about.)

এখানে (১) ও (২) নং এ ব্রাকেট এর পরিবর্তে It বসালে বাক্য পূর্ণ হবে অর্থাৎ Noun Clause। যেমন- (1) It is known to all. (2) We don't know it.

(2)❤️ Adjective Clause: Underlined অংশটি হাতের আঙ্গুল দিয়ে ঢেকে দিয়ে যদি বাক্য পূর্ণ তখন বুঝবেন অবশ্যই Adjective Clause। যেমন--

(১) The boy (who doesn't know to manner) is my brother.

এখানে Underline অংশটি একপাশে রেখে দিলে হয়=The boy is my brother। বিশ্বাস নাহলে বই খুলে নিজে দেখুন!!

(3)❤️ Adverbial Clause: এটি চেনা অত্যন্ত সোজা। কারণ তিনটি অপশন থেকে It দিয়ে বা আঙ্গুলে চেপে ধরলেও Noun Clause, Adjective Clause কোনটিই না হলে ধরে নিবেন ১০০% Clause টি Adverbial Clause।
