House Jan. 6 Committee deleted more than 100 encrypted files days before GOP took majority: sources

Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA), Chair of the subcommittee panel investigating security failures and actions of the J-6 select committee, was told by Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS), former select committee Chair, that the committee would turn over four terabytes of archived data. The new committee only received approximately two terabytes of data.

Loudermilk’s committee, empowered by resources allocated by Speaker Johnson, hired a digital forensics team to scrape hard drives to determine what information they were not given.

The forensics team reportedly determined that 117 files were both deleted and encrypted days before Thompson’s team was required to transfer all data to the new committee.

Loudermilk is demanding answers and passwords to access the data. 

Loudermilk wrote to White House general counsel and the general counsel of the Department of Homeland Security, demanding "unedited and unredacted trannoscripts" of White House and DHS testimony to the former select committee by Jan 24.

Loudermlk: “It’s obvious that Pelosi’s Select Committee went to great lengths to prevent Americans from seeing certain documents produced in their investigation. It also appears that Bennie Thompson and Liz Cheney intended to obstruct our Subcommittee by failing to preserve critical information and videos as required by House rules.”

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a massive lawsuit against Pfizer, accusing the company of using highly misleading rhetoric to trick Americans into getting the COVID shot despite its failure to prevent infection and transmission.

In May of last year, Paxton launched an investigation into Pfizer, Moderna and J&J because they potentially lied to the public about the success rate of their respective shots. At the time, he said he couldn’t target the companies for their drug side effects because of the sweeping liability protections.

However, Paxton warned at the onset of his investigation that the “potentially fraudulent activity” of vaccine manufacturers like Pfizer is fair game for a lawsuit because it “falls outside the scope of legal immunity.”
