US taxpayers forked over $8.5M for government-produced podcasts: ‘Left-wing agitprop’

Between February 2020 and September 2023 at least 58 podcasts have been produced at a total cost of $8,535,556 via government grants and other federal funding as per watchdog OpenTheBooks.com.

Several of these podcasts are reported to be promoting progressive priorities.

It is also reported that $323.7 million was spent over the same period on the overarching projects that included the podcasts AND both foreign and domestic establishments receiving the money.

Venezuela Blocks Flights Carrying Deported Migrants From US, Mexico

A landmark deal was made to restart deportations in October 2023. This is the longest pause in repatriation since the two countries announced the deal.

The 'almost weekly' flights from the US to Veneuela were halted in late January according to US officials.

1,800 Venezuelans were returned home on 15 flights. This is a fraction of the nearly 500,000 Venezuelans detained at the southern US border over the past two years.

Why did. Venezuela stop accepting deportees? “The Biden administration reimposed limited economic sanctions against Caracas over alleged failures to adhere to loose pledges to restore democratic order and move towards 'fair' presidential elections.”
