Republicans propose blocking SOTU speech if president doesn’t submit budget on time

President Biden is preparing to deliver a State of the Union (SOTU) address before Congress after missing his deadline, once again, to present spending and national security plans to Congress. 

Under a proposal ennoscriptd the SUBMIT IT Act (Send Us Budget Materials & International Tactics In Time), Biden and future presidents would be accountable for the deadline. How? No plans on time, no ‘grand’ SOTU speech.

The SUBMIT IT Act was sponsored by Rep. Buddy Carter( R-GA). He stated that “President Biden’s budget was due on Feb. 5, yet Congress has seen nothing…This is irresponsible. Until Congress receives the president’s national security strategy and budget, he has no business delivering a State of the Union address.”

Vasiliev Pyotr Alexeieovich has reportedly been arrested in Moscow in connection with an attempted assassination of Tucker Carlson.

The man was allegedly hired by and was to be paid $4,000 by Ukrainian Intelligence if he successfully planted an explosive device in a vehicle used by Tucker while he was in Russia to interview Russian President Vladimir Putin.

However, Alexeieovich was detained in the planning process.

Unbelievable: Justice Department Announces 70 Arrests of New York City Employees in Bribery Scandal

The DOJ announced that a record breaking number of employees of current and former employees of New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) were arrested earlier this month. Local and federal authorities collaborated to uncover the scheme.

The arrest of 70 individuals, in a single day, was in connection with a bribery and extortion ring.

The defendants are accused in a pay to play scheme with contractors that wished to do business in NYC.

The allegations involve NYCHA employees abusing their positions to award no-bid contracts, for specific contractors, in exchange for millions of dollars in bribes.

The alleged scheme defrauded the government and taxpayers and also is reported to have negatively impacted the quality of living of more than 200,000 residents.
