🚨President Joe Biden said Wednesday that he was not considering unilaterally sending U.S. troops to Ukraine, a day after he met virtually with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"We have a moral obligation and a legal obligation to our NATO allies," Biden said, adding that the obligation did not extend to Ukraine.

Biden gave away bargaining positions by a key U.S. ally in negotiations for Israeli hostages, while he was predicting success that all sides in the talks said was premature during his appearance with Seth Myers on Monday.

Biden divulged that Israel had offered to stop the war during the upcoming Islamic holy month of Ramadan. This pinned an ally to a public position that was intended to be an offer, not a firm commitment, without mutual agreement.

On Tuesday, Israeli government spokesperson Tal Heinrich said that there was no agreement with Hamas. They added that the terrorist group’s demands, including an end to the war and Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, was were “outlandish” and from “another planet.”

The Venezuelan Violence Observatory registered 26.8 violent deaths per 100,000 inhabitants this year from a rate of 35.3 for every 100,000 habitants in 2022, Roberto Briceño León, director of the Observatory, said in a webcast Thursday. That's its lowest since 2001 and is one third of what it was in 2016, he added.
