The tension referred to in the noscript I believe came after Ronna McDaniel’s requiring candidates to sign a pledge agreeing g to certain things.

One of the requirements being that the candidates agree to support whomever the nominee would be.

Remember during the debates for the 2016 election, when asked if there was anyone who would not agree to support whomever the nominee was; Donald Trump was the only one to raise his hand.

Why was this question regarding supporting the nominee not simply left to be a question during the debates? 👇

Now, MSNBC president Rashida Jones is saying that "according to people familiar with the conversations," they don't expect McDaniel to provide commentary on MSNBC.

Biden Releases Propaganda Video With Obama and Pelosi, but They Get Tripped Up With Some Big Problems

Joe Biden has great trouble speaking and dealing with the teleprompter live. 

When they released a "National Call" that was supposed to be live with Barack Obama and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), the "live" video looked heavily edited, and they looked completely unnatural. 

The RNC Research folks called them out for splicing the video and then falsely calling it "live".

Joe Biden was actually in Delaware on Saturday according to RNC Research.  They further explained that this one clip has multiple cuts in it; Biden looks terrible and is slurring again.
