DOJ Finds 'Inconsistencies' in Fani Willis' Use of Federal Grant Funds Amid Congressional Probe

Two years ago, Amanda Timpson, who was listed as the grant director, said she was abruptly fired by Willis less than two months after reporting the intended misuse of funds to Willis.

Timpson had warned Wills that her office was attempting to misuse nearly half a million dollars awarded in a federal grant for a youth gang prevention initiative to instead pay for:
"swag”, Mac Book computers and travel.

Timpson alleges that she was escorted out of her office by 7 armed investigators. She later filed a whistleblower complaint that alleged wrongful termination.

The grant that Timpson warned Willis about is now indicated as plagued with reporting discrepancies from Willis’ office by DOJ's Office of Justice Programs.

The DOJ is reportedly working with Willis’ office to fix the grant reporting "inconsistencies”.
Meanwhile, there is an ongoing House Judiciary Committee probe looking into Willis’ use of federal grant funds.

The rule to move forward on FISA was defeated. But FISA is alive and well.

We haven’t voted on the bill yet, and it’s likely we’ll see it under suspension (breaking the rules to pass it with Democrat support) sometime soon. It unfortunately has not been defeated.

Speaker Johnson said in our conference meeting this afternoon that he will try to move forward on it tomorrow.

Today’s rule would have allowed a vote on the Jordan amendment to force warrants on FISA surveillance. Which I support.

But I want to be clear, I will not support any version of FISA that doesn’t protect Americans from spying by our own government.

I support Warren Davidson’s bill that would FULLY protect American citizens from spying and I urge Speaker Johnson to allow this as an amendment and any others to move forward in an OPEN RULE.

The American people deserve transparency in this process.

If we can’t protect our citizens from their own government, then FISA SHOULD DIE!

13 young Orthodox men pleaded not guilty, must turn over passports in connection to tunnel built under historic Brooklyn synagogue

Thirteen young Hasidic Jewish community members all pleaded not guilty to charges connected to the damage of a wall in a well-known Brooklyn synagogue that led to a caught-on-camera fracas during an arraignment Wednesday, according to a report.

The tunnel was discovered under the synagogue in January.

The spokeswoman for the DC US Attorney's office just told me via email that Matthew Graves' office is not investigating any pro-Palestinian/anti-Israel demonstrators who have broken federal laws (per J6 precedent) including parading, disorderly conduct, civil disorder, or obstruction of an official proceeding over the past six month.

Any cases (to the extent they exist) are being handled by the local DC AG.

Apple hit with ‘mercenary spyware attacks’ - iPhone users warned worldwide of ‘most advanced digital threats

A terrifying and extremely advanced cyberattack has impacted iPhone users from at least 92 countries, including India.

Parent company Apple warned targeted users in an email that hackers aimed to “remotely compromise the iPhone” and updated its’ guidance about these cases of highly sophisticated device infiltration Wednesday.

They commonly target high-profile individuals, “likely because of who they are or what they do”,  in small numbers. Individuals such as politicians, diplomats, journalists and activists, are typically included in the ‘high profile’ category, according to Apple.

Trans Antifa member arrested over bombing at Alabama Attorney General's Office

Kyle Benjamin Douglas Calvert, 26, of Irondale, Alabama, was indicted on Wednesday and charged with malicious use of an explosive and possession of an unregistered destructive device. 

The the indictment alleges that Calvert "maliciously damaged, and attempted to maliciously damage, by means of fire and explosive materials, the Alabama Attorney General's Office," and that Calvert "knowingly possessed a firearm, to wit: a destructive device... which was not registered to him in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record." 

A detention memo from a U.S. AG’s office stated:

“That device had the characteristics of an IED, and Calvert added a substantial number of nails and other shrapnel to increase its destructive capability."
