Border Patrol Union Statement:
NEW: In statement to @FoxNews, the Border Patrol union responds to the passing of the $95 billion foreign aid package:
"We are beyond disappointed that the House would give aid to secure the borders of foreign countries, but gave nothing to allow the Border Patrol to secure the safety of the United States. There’s nothing more backwards. I wouldn’t have even expected tax payer’s dollars. They could have given us policy, and that would have been enough."

The Scranton Army Ammunition Plant (SCAAP), the United States’ primary producer of 155mm artillery shell bodies, caught fire on April 15th.
The explosion in the UK occurred at the BAE Systems munitions factory in Glascoed, Wales on April 17th.
BAE Systems is the biggest defense contractor in Europe and the 7th largest in the world.

It was Hakeem Jeffries, not the House Speaker Johnson, who had the ultimate power to decide whether legislation came to the floor.
This was all Jeffries' call, as was Democrats' decision to wait until it was clear House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) didn't have the votes on his own before saving the package on the floor.
They crossed the aisle on the House Rules Committee to save the foreign aid package on Thursday and again the next day on the House floor.
Rep. Greg Casar (D-TX) said Johnson "should just pack up and resign and hand the gavel over to Leader Jeffries”.
