i have literally done this, and if i can choose, i will do it again
i've no object permanence but somehow linux workspaces/virtual desktops give me life.
still tho, from time to time, i will change workspace and see something i started to do 1-40 hours ago, and think "aw right. damn. i should have done this before"

(in this case i opened a browser to, uh, get a copy of babymetal discography and i could have it downloaded already but instead i havent even started the download)
