the only "too many plushies" number i ever acknowledge is when they cant fit into the bed anymore. and the solution on that cases, is to buy another bed, not to say goodbye to any plushie

So, as someone who follows a lot of Solarpunk stuff, I would like to take a minute to address the increasingly widespread notion that Solarpunk is apolitical. All aesthetics are political, as they all make comments on materialism and traditionalism, deliberately or not. Additionally, Solarpunk is a genre of speculative fiction. Speculative fiction, by definition, presents a vision of the future. It makes statements about the values of that future. Solarpunk's character is decidedly inclusive, environmentalist, and, as is often overlooked, anti-capitalist, and the image of the future it presents reflects that.
