some years ago, i mentioned to my family "i think i have this mental shit" and they were all like "no you dont have that because i know people who really have it and they are diferent". i were confronted multiple times bc "snowflake" and "im only looking for excuses" and of course "too much internet" and shit. today the theme has casually resurfaced. and just now, i have discovered, that when i was young, like idk 7 years old or something, the fking president of the country society of psychyatrists in fking person said "yeah this kid has this thing" in an event i do not remember and i dont know how happened, and my family just decided i didnt at the time and never to tell me and disuade me from ever thinking i did if i ever "thought about it" (wich after a heckton of years i ended up discovering independently without help, be it familiar or professional)

on one side, this is a bit of "its not just me self diagnosing shit wanting to feel special, my experiences are really valid" and shit like that. oh and "i was right this whole time" of course.

on the other hand, ppl are nuts and i have another reason more to hate them now i guess


edit: "nuts" may be ableist language now that i think about it. criticism is welcome on wich word i should use to express "are you fking serious, your logic cant be this inexistent" or whatever to someone
