Here are two conflicting predictions about the price of oil.

This is from the Wall Street Journal: the price of oil could reach $215 per barrel

The American newspaper Wall Street Journal reports: if the Strait of Hormuz is not reopened soon, the price of oil per barrel could rise to $215.

And this is from President Trump. A bit of pain now that won’t last long. Take your pick who you believe. …

Note that Trump is set to review avenues to contain the price of oil today. One obvious option is Russia. Trump has recently talked with Putin but it was not mentioned if they discussed an oil deal.

The Phase Two CONVID Royal Commission report confirms several things the public was told not to question at the time.

The report records that the Prime Minister’s Office sent edits replacing an earlier vaccination target with a proposal for 90% vaccination of the eligible population, which was later adopted by Cabinet as the benchmark for moving the country into the new CONVID-19 Protection Framework.

The same report states that the vaccine pass system was developed with the clear understanding it would create “a form of two-tier society.”

At the time, Jacinda Ardern openly explained what that meant:

"If you’re not vaccinated there will be things that you miss out on… everyday things that you will miss out on.”

When asked directly whether that meant two classes of people, she replied:

"That is what it is — yep.”

The Royal Commission also acknowledges serious problems with how these policies were managed:

• Insufficient monitoring of vaccine mandate impacts
• Decision-makers lacking data on job losses, reinstatements and enforcement
• Some vaccination requirements lasting too long
• Some going too far

Those are the report’s words.

Yet even now there is still no meaningful acknowledgement of the vaccine injured, many of whom have spent years struggling for recognition, support, and basic transparency.

Thousands of New Zealanders lost jobs and livelihoods under policies the inquiry now admits were not properly monitored and in some cases went too far.

Many of us who chose not to be vaccinated were vilified, excluded and treated as second-class citizens under a system designed with the explicit understanding that it would DIVIDE our society.

I was one of them.

I remain "unvaccinated".
I did not die from CONVID.

But many New Zealanders did experience the consequences of policies that deliberately created a two-tier framework, damaged trust in government overall and intentionally fractured communities.

New Zealand still hasn’t had an honest reckoning with what happened - and those who dared to question it are still paying the price today!
