Seamless OTA Updates: Dex2oat Optimization Starts right After Update Completion
What is Dex2oat Optimisation?
Dex2oat optimization is like giving your apps a speed boost. It helps them run faster and use less battery by transforming their code into a more efficient language, making your overall experience smoother.

1. Following each update, automatic app optimization will begin to ensure a smoother post-OTA experience.

2. During this period, your device might become slightly warm, slow down, or experience faster battery drain. Rest assured, everything will return to normal once the optimization concludes.
3. Upon completion, you'll receive a notification to reboot your phone. To avoid interrupting the optimization process, kindly refrain from rebooting until you receive this notification.

When you install a new app, it gets optimized during the installation process. Only after optimization is complete does the installation process finish and provide you with the option to open the app. This is why manually installing certain apps like TikTok takes around 4 minutes, as they are being optimized during installation. The time of installation depends on the way an app was built, YouTube Twitter gets installed within 20-40 seconds, but some apps are just too complicated and take a longer time to optimise, so the time of installation depends on the app you're installing.
