ds2 spoilers not the step father but the father that stepped up

Im so insane about neils story because /spoilers ahead/ he is such a tragic character yes but also the themes of political blackmail and then POLICE BRUTALITY (well it was guards but its kind of the same) being emphasised in his sidestory drove me insane a little i wish we had more time with that and the type of work he did for the government because with cliff we didnt see the war stuff because yeah. We know what war is. We've seen it in every media ever. But with neil its a story unique specifically to the world of ds? But on the other hand he is a side character and we did get a lot and i loved it all and maybe showing more of that would make it less interesting. Also thinking lots abiut the implications of him being italian like his actor because we never get to see what happens to europe after the apocalypse but i guess its not important to his character specifically because he clearly worked in america. His story in general is so well written imo which is why its sad to see it watered down in the game to revealing that lou is sam's kid after all i hate that reveal so much arrggrhhgh. Im so normal about ds
