🗓In 2014, Jed McCaleb, founder of Mt. Gox and co-founder of Ripple, launched the network system Stellar with former lawyer Joyce Kim. Before the official launch, McCaleb formed a website called "Secret Bitcoin Project" seeking alpha testers. The nonprofit Stellar Development Foundation was created in collaboration with Stripe CEO Patrick Collison and the project officially launched that July. Stellar received $3 million in seed funding from Stripe. Stellar was released as a decentralized payment network and protocol with a native currency, stellar. At its launch, the network had 100 billion stellars. 25 percent of those would be given to other non-profits working toward financial inclusion. Stripe received 2 percent or 2 billion of the initial stellar in return for its seed investment. The cryptocurrency, originally known as stellar, was later called Lumens or XLM.
📍The main lead of the Stellar Lumen is Jed McCaleb, who is an experienced individual with a vast amount of knowledge and business skills. There are around 50 active contributors who tirelessly work to develop and enhance the Stellar network and its products.
📌At the moment, Denelle Dixon is the CEO and Executive Director of the Stellar Development Foundation. Before joining Stellar, Dixon served as COO of Mozilla, one of the most successful mission-driven open-source organizations. 📍XRP struggles to surpass he crucial $0.53 resistance marker. The altcoin is swinging between narrow ranges in terms of price movement. The asset’s trading data chart reveals it is trapped within a Fibonacci support and resistance region where it encounters strong challenge surpassing the $0.53 marker.
📌Every time XRP tries to move past this certain price point, it ends up testing the $0.43 support level. This cycle has been ongoing for the altcoin since the month of September. Despite the recent rally of the crypto market, the virtual coin declined by 1.3% over the last 24 hours and is still down by 4.4% for the past two weeks. United States-based crypto advocacy group Blockchain Association has come out in support of Ripple Labs amid its ongoing legal battle with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), claiming the case could be very important for the future of the crypto industry.
📌In an Oct. 28 post, the advocacy group announced it will “stand” with the American crypto economy by filing an amicus brief, also known as “friend of the court,” in the SEC enforcement action against Ripple.
⏳Nearly two years ago, the SEC announced they were suing Ripple, former CEO Christian Larsen and current CEO Brad Garlinghouse in Dec. 2020 for allegedly raising $1.3 billion through unregistered securities sales through XRP

Visa Files Trademark For Metaverse, Crypto wallets and NFTs
💳Payments giant Visa filed two trademark applications to the United States Patent and Trademark Office related to digital wallets, non-fungible tokens, and the metaverse. The move follows that of other large corporations and payment companies, including American Express.
Visa’s applications shouldn’t surprise as they come after many large firms, including American Express and the New York Stock Exchange have filed similar applications over the past year.
The applications were filed on Oct. 22.

Ripple brings NFTs to XRP ledger – Here are all the details
🧑🔬After a year of development and testing, Ripple has finally brought NFTs to the XRP Ledger. Chief Technology Officer David Schwartz informed the community earlier on 1 November that XLS-20, which is the standard for XRPL NFTs, is now enabled on the XRP ledger mainnet.
This milestone has been achieved thanks to the XRPL community as well as RippleX engineers, who conducted extensive testing and fixed bugs in order to bring digital art to XRPL.
The NFTs on XRPL are less vulnerable in terms of attacks and bridge hacks since a no-smart-contracts approach was adopted. This works to decrease the congestion as well as bring down the cost when compared to other chains.
