💳Payments giant Visa filed two trademark applications to the United States Patent and Trademark Office related to digital wallets, non-fungible tokens, and the metaverse. The move follows that of other large corporations and payment companies, including American Express.
Visa’s applications shouldn’t surprise as they come after many large firms, including American Express and the New York Stock Exchange have filed similar applications over the past year.
The applications were filed on Oct. 22.

Ripple brings NFTs to XRP ledger – Here are all the details
🧑🔬After a year of development and testing, Ripple has finally brought NFTs to the XRP Ledger. Chief Technology Officer David Schwartz informed the community earlier on 1 November that XLS-20, which is the standard for XRPL NFTs, is now enabled on the XRP ledger mainnet.
This milestone has been achieved thanks to the XRPL community as well as RippleX engineers, who conducted extensive testing and fixed bugs in order to bring digital art to XRPL.
The NFTs on XRPL are less vulnerable in terms of attacks and bridge hacks since a no-smart-contracts approach was adopted. This works to decrease the congestion as well as bring down the cost when compared to other chains.

Coinbase Comes Out To Support Ripple; Will It Relist XRP?
🌐Coinbase, US based cryptocurrency exchange has come out in support of Ripple in the XRP lawsuit. The crypto exchange has filed a request in the court to submit an Amicus Brief in support of Ripple’s Fair Notice Defense. However, Coinbase was one of the first platforms to delist and halt trading in XRP after the US SEC filed a lawsuit against Ripple.
As per the filings, Coinbase holds a unique perspective on the issues between the SEC and Ripple. Formally, the crypto exchange has petitioned the Commission to provide guidance to the market by making clear rules. It is important that market participants should have a better understanding and idea of what to expect in the future.
Coinbase believes that there is a major gap in the regulatory framework built for digital assets. However, Ripple must be granted to pursue fair notice defenses in affairs where it can face surprise enforcement actions like this.

⚡️Crypto exchange Coinbase has petitioned a federal court for permission to file a friend of the court ("amicus") brief in the ongoing lawsuit between the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and Ripple Labs.
🤔Coinbase joins the Blockchain Association, an industry lobbyist group, SpendTheBits, a crypto payments app that uses XRP and John Deaton, a lawyer, in hoping to shore up Ripple's case against the SEC, which sued Ripple at the end of 2020 on allegations it sold XRP as an unregistered security.
📍The exchange highlighted whether the SEC provided "fair notice" prior to bringing its enforcement action, taking a dig at the common industry complaint that the regulator has not provided clear guidance to businesses in the process.

Crypto Whales Move Over $130,000,000 in Dogecoin (DOGE) and XRP Within Hours
🐳Deep-pocketed crypto whales are moving over $130 million worth of Dogecoin (DOGE) and XRP as crypto markets plateau this week.
🐋An unknown wallet sent 150 million DOGE worth more than $20.7 million to another unknown wallet on Tuesday, according to the blockchain-tracking platform Whale Alert.
🧐A half-hour later, a third unknown wallet sent 300 million DOGE worth more than $41.8 million to a fourth unknown wallet.
🏃XRP whales were also on the move: In between those two Dogecoin whale transactions, another unknown wallet sent the crypto exchange Bitstamp 60 million XRP worth more than $28.03 million.
🐕DOGE first started moving last week on news that tech billionaire Elon Musk, one of Dogecoin’s most prolific supporters, had successfully taken over social media giant Twitter.
